Hotel

The building of Dordrecht's former water company provides a special, atmospheric ambience, which nowadays houses Hotel Villa Augustus. The hotel has a restaurant and a shop, 'De Markt'. The listed buildings stand prominently on the large, green grounds measuring 3.7 acres. Twenty of the hotel's rooms are situated in the old water tower, with 4 rooms on each floor. The water tower has a lift and the other rooms are spread across the annexes. The hotel lies within 1.5 kilometres of Dordrecht's railway station.

Each hotel room has a surprising feature, such as a spectacular view of the river or the large adjacent vegetable garden. The rooms come with comfortable beds and a bathroom with a bath and/or shower and a toilet. You'll find 'De Markt' in the old pumping station, where homemade products such as jam, cakes, biscuits and bread are sold. Everything is prepared in the in-house bakery according to traditional methods. Moreover, a wide variety of other products is available including home-grown fresh vegetables, books, gifts and all sorts of creative, orginal items such as lights made from rubbish and hand painted service.
