In need of care and attention and updating

Friendly staff, excellent evening meals in the brasserie ( slight problem.....see below) good location for the ceramic market at Dwingeloo, peaceful setting.

On both evenings my husband ordered French fries with his meal they never arrived and on the second night he was brought creamed potatoes instead. The terrace area outside each room is dirty and generally in need of care and attention......this actually applies to all the outside of the hotel. The bathroom had nowhere to put a toilet bag except on the floor. The toilets near reception must have been from the 70s and needs updating

“My tip: A lovely area to explore and pleasant , helpful staff. Good quality food both at dinner and at breakfast.”

    Heerlijk gelegen "openminded" hotel.

Landelijk gelegen met mooi uitzicht op velden/bos.

Oude douche ruimte, waarbij het leek alsof de doucheranden schimmel vorming vertoonden.

“My tip: Landelijk gelegen en net / zorgzaam personeel. Staan open voor passante motorrijders.”

Hotel de Borken, Lhee, Drenthe National Park.

An attractive Hotel situated in a small rural village on the edge of a National Park. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the food generally of high quality and the room clean and comfortable.

The Hotel cannot be accessed by public transport or taxi at the weekends, which posed a challenge for my family in trying to get to Assen Circuit for the Dutch TT.

“My tip: I recommend that persons visiting the Hotel should access it by private car or, if they do not have access to a car, restrict their visits to weekdays when a bus service is available from Beilen station. ”
