"De Harmonie" is a special hotel with a charming atmosphere, not very luxurious, but cozy and very nice if you like music.

In spite of our delay they accepted us kindly.

Big sound of live music till late. Any fluits were not served in breakfast. We felt our room fioor declined

Adequate accomodation within easy access of Amsterdam & areas.

Owner responded very quickly to any calls/enquiries. We loved the convenient location to the cute town & amenities & the bus access into Amsterdam. We would stay again!

Friendly and helpful personnel. Ideally situated for touring North Amsterdam and for a relaxing break in the small intimate town of Edam.

Expensive for what you get

Staff is friendly. Linen and towels were clean, room has kitchen with dishes.

Glass doors do not have black-out and porch light is right in front of room. Can hear noise from pub downstairs, other rooms, porch and stairways. Parking is difficult. Only accepts cash.

A very enjoyable stay at the Harmonie in Edam

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Harmonie in Edam. The bar is in a lovely setting and very central.

pretty clean and comfortable little hotel. from the outside it doesn\'t look like a hotel, there is no reception and you enter through the pub downsrairs and the nice man from the pub leads you to your room. very friendly and intimate

Reallyt liked the space of rooms and the fact that it was on top of the music pub

Maybe that breakfast took a while as staff seeemd to start only exactly at the advertised opening time. But thats a minor complaint.

very pleasent place, nice little house with view on the the small canal. nice people welcoming us upon us arrival. excellent breakfast in the morning. we were sad to leave, next time we will stay a bit longer. will come back soon :-)

bed in the room was a bit limit for tall people. nevertheless we had a good nite.

a little bit noisy

I enjoyed my stay at this wonderful and welcoming hotel. Everyone on ths staff was friendly and helpful especially the owner and one of his staff, Anna, who gave me lots of useful information about the local area and the entertainment that was on at the cafe during the course of my stay. Most of all I was made to feel welcome by the locals and I enjoyed my many conversations with them. As well as being surrounded by wonderful countryside, Amsterdam is only 30 minutes away by bus an ideal location for relaxing and enjoying all that The Netherlands has to offer! Definitely coming back here!

Quiet. Very wellcoming and inspiring place and people. Equiped for making your own meals.

Access to the room is by stairs only - should be mentioned before booking. Small spiders walking on the walls.

1. Wonderful location along the canal in the old town of Edam. Fun to walk along the old streets in the village and the hotel was very handy to everything. We parked nearby and walked everywhere we wanted to go. 2. Rustic in style. All the rooms are right under the roof; charming as long as the weather is cool. Our room was quite large and included a kitchen area.

1.The toilet had not been properly cleaned after the previous guest. 2. We encountered several spiders, which we killed. 3. The refrigerator had a bad stale food odor. 4. In general, not as nice as advertized, and not equal for the money to any other place we stayed. Rooms under the roof are far too hot in warm weather; can\'t leave windows open at night due to mosquitoes and safety (any intruder could easily climb in one of them.) 5. Sound from the bar below (talking and music) carries through the floor. We had to stay up until about 1:00AM before it quieted down.

Breakfast was wonderful each morning. The room was spacious, the private shower and bath was perfect. The location was great. It was a great experience for our family.

The location was good & the price was fine.

The room was musty & the floor was covered in sand. There were also cobwebs & dust throughout. In otherwords, not overly clean. Also, the gentleman who owned the property was nice enough to leave his dinner to let us in when we arrived however not extremely welcoming.
