Hotel de Vassy in Egmond Aan Zee is close to the monumental lighthouse of Jan van Speyck. This prominent sight also forms part of Egmond aan Zee's fishing past. The fishermen's cottages in the village's historic streets still recall this period. Various good restaurants and cafés are situated around the village square.
This small-scale hotel has a warm ambience. There is a cosy lounge where guests can drink tea, coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day. The friendly staff will ensure a pleasant stay. The clean and comfortable rooms come with a sitting area, a shower, a toilet and a television. The rooms are also equipped with a fridge, a telephone, a radio alarm clock, a safe and a hair dryer.
The hotel is easily accessible by public transport; there is a direct bus link from Alkmaar railway station. Bergen is home to the Auto Union Museum and you'll find the Sea Aquarium in Bergen aan Zee.

very lovely friendly family who run this hotel, and friendly staff, very helpful and cheerful, hotel made cosy with much love and attention to detail, you can see it. Lounge / dining room very nice, computer in lounge / internet access excellent. Location couldn't be better, right by sea and very nice lighthouse. Whole place is modern and fresh looking inside and out.. Rooms nicely decorated, nice TV, super shower, clean, good bed. Nice to have fridge and kettle. Very peaceful, place was full when I was there but didn't hear anything from the other guests when in my room.
Was there alone but did not feel 'ALONE alone' because it was a friendly place.

Friendly welcome. The whole hotel is very clean ,has a warm atmosphere. Excellent mattresses in bed. Fresh orange juice for breakfast.Free Internet access. Free Coffee , tea, hot chocolate, instant soups all day. Cosy lounge (Salon) with a great bar-huge selection of hard & soft drinks (selfservice). Nice terrace with view to the lighthouse.
No important minus points, only to mention: room was small, spartan interieur. Access to all areas with key cards only.
