We love Hotel Emmeloord and the new Suite 230

Welcoming, friendly, courteous staff. Hand written welcome card very nice touch. Lovely suite 230....spacious, quiet, stylishly and comfortably furnished in retro look. Great bed. Huge shower. Nice details. Quiet inside and out (large very private balcony with country views). Good housekeeping. Excellent breakfast. Quality towels, robes and linens. Generous minibar and coffee station. Excellent breakfast. Good parking. Close to many places of interest. One of our favourite hotels (4th or 5th visit in 18 months).

I was not able to open a window, the room was too warm. The mirror bad

I was not able to open a window, which is not normal. If you opened the door everybody could enter. I almost couldn t sleep, because it was too hot in the room. The mirror in the bathroom was placed that high that it was not possible to look into the mirror the cranes were of the 19th century. I wasn t satisfied at all.

The same standard in all your hotels.

The personnel is always polite and smiling. The rooms are always spotless. Very big choice at breakfast and evening meals very tasty.

The only negative point was the lack of light in our room. Even with side and over head lighting the room was in semi darkness.

Wonderful service , the comfort standard rooms are spacious and bright . Only 3years old . Superb restaurant . Tourust attraction near by was a orchid place Abe the Venice of holland is a comfortable drive into the countryside . We love the Valk chain of hotels , you are assured a wondeful stay

Nice...but could be SO much better.

Stylish bedroom, large bathroom. Nice atmosphere in the Lobby/Bar area. Reception staff lovely and helpful.

No tea/coffee faciltiies in room. Beds soft. No direct heating controls in the room (woken up by other guests - too hot - needed a drink - couldn't anything about anything at 3am in the morning!) Better lighting needed too...

No facility to control Room Temperature. No Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room. Some Road-Signs showing how to find the hotel from the Main Road would have been helpful, especially if you arrive after dark (like me)

Decent enough place, clean, everything works, polite and helpful staff. Big room and reasonable value for money.

It\'s dark everywhere. Are these hotels saving on electricity? It seems that the restaurant, bar and room are all fitted with the lowest powered light bulbs possible. Even with every light on in the room, it\'s still dim.

Breakfast was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and service excellent.

The batteries in the remote were dead, the garbage can in the bathroom was broken, the toilet paper had 4 sections left on the roll when we arrived, and the light in the entranceway was wired badly and flickered on and off periodically.

Quality price for room, quality of the restaurant,(food and service, except the \"bearnaise\" but I had my residence in Bearn for a few years...) welcoming present for child, welcome drink at the bar without any advertisement about this point, and free choice: amazing !!I\'ve been working in hotel and restaurant industry for 24 years, and just have to give compliments about my short stay in your resort.

Problem with a hole in the shower jet in the bath, waiting more than 10 minutes to find somebody at the bar at 11 pm.No mini bar..?? And to be perfectionist or professional... some moisture that you can see only when you are in the shower with closed doors !

Too close to major road so the road noise was a bit intrusive.

Great hotel with a very good restaurant. I did have problems with a beef that was almost raw, but they changed it quickly and erased it from the bill.

Problems with the wireless internet. As a business traveller, it is very important to have full access to the internet when needed. I was forced to sit in the lobby in order to have a proper internet connection. Also the internet connection should be included in the room price!
