Hotel Het Witte Paard Etten Leur is a cosy family-run hotel, which was opened in 1983 and never been closed again! It is located in the town where Vincent van Gogh learned to draw and where his father used to preach in a small church, the present-day 'Raadszaal' (council hall) of Etten-Leur.
The rooms of the inn are all equipped with a bathroom with a toilet and a bath or shower and television. Wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel for free. For a nice drink guests can use the mini bar in their room. The hotel also has a laundry service. On sunny days guests can relax on the grand terrace outside the hotel.
Surroundings
Hotel Het Witte Paard is located in Etten-Leur, which is about 8 kilometres from Breda. Breda is an old garrison and fortress town with several monumental buildings, among which the 'Grote Kerk' church and the castle 'Kasteel van Breda'. By car or public transportation guests can easily reach the lively city of Antwerp. Within 30 minutes you can take your children to the fairy-tale theme park 'De Efteling' in Kaatsheuvel.
Food and Drink
The luxury breakfast buffet is served from 06:30 until 10:00 on weekdays. At the weekend, guests can have breakfast from 07:30 until 10:30. In the restaurant they serve seasonal specialities. Every month the restaurant puts together a new menu. In the café 'De Huiskamer van Etten-Leur' ('Etten-Leur' living room) guests can have a nice drink. The monumental building dates from 1828. One can also comfortably relax in the lounge with a cup of coffee.

Friendliness of staff. I had an upgrade to a deluxe room, what is in my opinion a small hotel room. After mentioning a check-out The deluxe room was made available free of additional charge.
normal rooms are very small 2 people can only sleep, no moving around in the room is possible.
“My tip: for the normal rooms, one can expect just a bed for the night. One person, not too much luggage. clean, all necessities available. no luxuries what soever”

Dinner was very nice.
Bathroom was clean and nice, appreciated the floor heating. :)
Breakfast was not really impressive. No fresh juices and not a lot to chose from.

We got a refund of 10 euro\'s.
The noise during the night. We called the front desk and they claimed that it was from the wok restaurant. We do not think it was that.
No eggs during breakfast.

Convenient location for train station.
Breakfast was fine.
Unbelievably hot on floor leading to room and in room. Very uncomfortable night due to heat.
