Leonardo Hotel Groningen is established in the unique and contemporary-design building "La La Liberté" in the south west of the city. The city park, the Martini Plaza congress and exhibition centre, and the Gasunie all lie within walking distance. Groningen's charming, historic city centre is only 10 minutes away by public transport, or a 20-minute walk. Surroundings
An abundance of students and down-to-earth city-dwellers provide a unique atmosphere to Groningen's city centre. Besides lively outdoor terraces and charming shops, you'll encounter the centuries-old Martini Tower on the Grote Markt square, the Korenbeurs on the Vismarkt, and the Groninger Museum. It's also nice to venture just south of the city to the Drentsche Aa, where you can enjoy walking or cycling.
Food and Drink
A breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 until 10:00, and at weekends from 08:00 until 11:00. For lunch or dinner you can visit the trendy restaurant on the third floor, ‘Chef’s! Food & Drinks’. A stylish business dinner, a tasty meal or just chips and mayonnaise for the whole family are just a few of the options available. The lounge terrace is also a great spot for drinks.

Light rooms, modern and clean, decent breakfast with a great environment.
A bit far from the city centre and isolated from the rest of city. Not easy to find a place to eat around.

Room with a nice view on a small park on the south-west side of the building (towards 16 Aprillaan) with a window going all the way to the floor gave the room an extra touch of luxury. Included Iron and a coffee tee set, which we both used. Lights in the bathroom were dimmed so it was pleasant for your eyes during a nightly visit to the bathroom. Excellent spacious shower.
Bed was a little too hard. 2 single sheets on the double bed was a bit awkward and sometimes you legs got under the lower under-sheet. Internet was too slow for decent Netflix viewing, why, why in these times and age
