The Social Hub Groningen is suitably located in the trendy Ebbinge Quarter. A number of rooms are occupied by students while the remaining hotel rooms are available to guests. The hotel feels like a sophisticated version of a campus, with facilities including a laundry service, ping pong tables, various lounge areas, workspaces, vending machines, a gym, and a restaurant. Bikes are also available for hire.
Various little zones have been created on the ground floor, places where you can read or have a chat; encompassed by bright colours and plenty of plants. The hotel rooms feature a king-size bed, a television, free WiFi, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
Surroundings
The Social Hub Groningen is situated in the middle of the Ebbinge Quarter, a young and cultural part of Groningen with trendy bars, music venues, and an urban beach. The city centre is just around the corner and offers a wide range of shops, boutiques and the Grote Markt square with its Martini Tower. Combine a few hours of shopping with a trip to the renowned Groninger Museum. The Noorderplantsoen park is also nearby, perfect for a jog or a leisurely picnic in the sun.
Food and Drink
A breakfast buffet is available daily from 07:00 until 11:00, and on Sunday from 08:00 in restaurant The Pool. This is also a lovely setting for tasty lunch or dinner. The Pool has a pleasant décor with design elements, and an open-plan kitchen with an emphasis on Mediterranean flavours. Order one of the imaginative cocktails and share a few dishes, tapas style. The restaurant is open until 23:00 on Friday and Saturday, and until 22:00 on all other days.
