Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation, location very convenient for all local facilities including Station CS. Plenty of options for eating during the day or evening within a short distance and at a reasonable price.
City centre location means no parking which is understood but a minor irritation.
“My tip: We tried two restaurants in the evening since we were only there for two evenings and both were very welcoming and provided good food at a reasonable price. One was a steak house a few doors away - not a standard British steak house - and the other was on the opposite side of the church. We picked them at random since a walk around the locality suggested most if not all would have been acceptable to us. ”

the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Jasper was a very friendly bloke and helped us to get settled into our room.
the carpets were very dirty, the amenities in the room were very dated and grubby.
“My tip: pay slightly more for a better kept hotel”

very nice house and extremely well located hotel for visiting Haarlem
it s a pity the sheets in one of the bed were not clean (traces of dirt), but hopefully as I was alone I could sleep in the other bed the breakfast is not worth the price (for 14,50 you expect a much diversified breakfast than actually proposed)

Central location, nice hotel (and bigger room than I was expecting). The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.
The hotel price of 130 Euro was too expensive (). In weekend the price increased because it was a music festival (with noise). I think that I could not sleep the price should be lower. Breakfast is expensive (14,5 Euro). I did not eat.
“My tip: Comfortable and clean room, polite staff, and great central location for exploring historic Haarlem. This hotel was close to the rail station, about 10-15 mins walk. For airport the bus 300 was very good.”

good location with helpful staff, bed very comfortable, nice to have a drinks tray and seating area in the room. Planning to come back to this hotel.
Friday and Saturday night are very noisy until four in the morning, there is a price to pay for stopping in the centre as the Dutch like to party. Nothing the hotel can do about this, just take some earplugs.

The hotel was very conveniently situated, the room was sizeable and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. We hope to return to Haarlem and would be very happy to stay at The Ambassador hotel again.
“My tip: There are lots of cafes and restaurants close to the hotel. We would particularly recommend the Frans Hals museum, and the adjacent church of St Bavo is impressive. Haarlem is just minutes away from Amsterdam by train, and is a far nicer (and much more peaceful) place to stay”

Good location and good breakfast quiet, that's it.
AS I climbed into bed the frist night I noticed the sheets were dirty with dirt or sand at the bottom of the bed. Sheets and pillow cases were no tchanged during our 4 night stay. I know this as there was a small stain on the pillow case, my makeup, and also the comforter. We had to ask for toilet paper when it ran out and soap. There was a misunderstanding on their part regarding the bill, we were treated very rudely. We will never stay again or recommend this hotel. Disgusting.

Friendly and helpful staff. excellent location. reasonably priced.
Be mindful not to arrive at the start or during the annual jazz festival weekend (as we did with 6 suitcases) since centre of town closed 0ff to vehicles including taxies for this festival

In the heart of Haarlem.
Hotel is located in full pedestrians-only area. You cannot get to the hotel by car. Luggage to be dragged through the streets (nice when raining). Parking at about 30 EUR a day to be add to the cost of your stay. This should be clearly mentioned on the web site. Black mold in the bathroom.

Very eclectic and friendly hotel . Bike friendly.
“My tip: Excellent bar and restaurant ( Boss) next door to each other and 20 meters from the Hotel door. ”

It is definitely in the right place! It has quirky kitschy decor that makes the room memorable if you like that kind of experience. I would recommend it. The desk was very nice, but surprisingly had no idea how to buy or use train or tram tickets, so questions about travel to Amsterdam was an informational black hole. Haarlem is a good two day visit to see whats there and I would recommend this hotel. Good internet.
$18 US for breakfast???? per person????
“My tip: But food somewhere else.”

Great location and friendly and helpful receptionist (lady).
We did not get the room we actually booked, it was a different room. This was very disappointing, since I especially called in advance to make sure that we would get the room that was on the website picture of Hotels.nl. Really a bummer. Since we were in a rush to leave in the morning, and drop-dead tired at arrival, we could not bother to complain about this. But because of this we will not recommend this hotel to anyone else. Pity!
“My tip: Yes, check, check and double check that you really get the room that you want to book!”

We enjoyed our stay , the lady that did breakfast was a very helpful and the food was good , although it was probably the first time we had had rice for breakfast , it was actually quite nice . We had some real noisy people opposite our room who woke us up at 3am , it turned out that they were some performers from a show at the opera , after asking them to keep it down they were fine . They were real characters who after meeting them we didnt mind the noise . Real central and nice walk to the station .Although we did forget to visit the splendid cathedral right next door , how we managed that i dont know , so i suppose we will be back next year to try again .
