The building in which Bed and Breakfast de Zeehoeve is situated lies in the beating heart of the De Zeehoeve campsite. This characteristic farm has a restaurant, bar and a friendly reception. Here you can hire a bike or a canoe or even sign up for a campsite activity, such as archery or raft building. Inside is a pool table, a ping pong table, and a bingo evening is held on a regular basis. There are eleven rooms varying in size. The B&B is very suitable for both groups and families. The rooms are situated on the second and third floor, there is no lift. The rooms are furnished with fine beds including bedding and a shower and toilet. There is a laundrette with deluxe washing machines and dryers. There are also three playgrounds, and a recreational team is available to take care of the younger guests during peak season.
Surroundings
It is possible to take a nice walk from Bed and Breakfast de Zeehoeve, which will lead you across the centuries-old sea embankment towards Harlingen. On a clear day it is even possible to see the islands of Vlieland and Terschelling. The terminal where ferries depart to and from these islands lies in the historic seaport of Harlingen. You can take a round trip in Harlingen, or even explore the town yourself by means of a hire boat from Ouwe Seun. The Hannema House offers an intriguing insight into the rich history of this city, dating back to 1234. The city boasts many monuments including the old facades in the Bildtstraat. Harlingen's stunning Stadhuis (Town Hall) houses treasures such as the framed cityscapes of Nikcolaas Baur.
Food and Drink
A tasty, elaborate Frisian breakfast buffet is served every morning. Breakfast is available from 08:00 to 10:00 h. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner at the restaurant, which is open until 23:00 h during peak season. Dinner is served from 17:00 to 21:00 h, and guests can make a selection from various platters.
