Hotel
Hotel heer Hugo offers modern hotel rooms and excellent facilities for relaxation. Guests can make use of the Turkish steam bath, at an additional charge. The rooms come with a bath, a shower, a toilet, a radio, a television and a telephone. WiFi is included in the room price. The Suites furthermore come with a separate sitting area, and several rooms on the first and second floors feature a balcony. The Design Rooms are decorated in a variety of themes, such as New York and Tokyo.
The hotel is within walking distance of Heerhugowaard railway station, which offers direct train links to Alkmaar and Amsterdam. The coastal resorts of Schoorl and Bergen aan Zee are also easy to reach by car.
Surroundings
Heerhugowaard lies in a typically Dutch polder landscape near Alkmaar, a city renowned for its cheese markets in summer. Alkmaar also offers an abundance of nice shops as well as appealing architecture. Design Hotel Jules is situated near the coastal towns of Bergen aan Zee and Schoorl. The dunes surrounding Schoorl are great to explore by bike. Plus in Heerhugowaard itself you can visit the Aardbei Serre, where you can pick your own strawberries in summertime.

Hotel eating facilities were closed so u have to bring your own meal,there is not air condition.be ready for sweating, it is okay for 3 stars hotels

The staff is very service minded, and will go out of the way to make you feel welcome.
Nothing was negative, however I would recommend that there were more information available for the surroundings, what to see, how to get to the nearest beach, in total more information.

Excellent night's stay - great value for money.
We stayed in a luxury room, it was not that luxury, just a very basic room - no tea or coffee making facilities in the room ? Toilet, whilst clean, was a bit "dated" in its decor.

The Hotel was lovely.
Most dissappointing was that there were no tea making facilities in the rooms. Nearly all hotels offer that now.

Uitstekende ligging, zowel voor autoverkeer, treinreizen en goede mogelijkheden voor fietstochtjes. Vriendelijk personeel - op alle fronten - dragen bij aan sfeer van gastvrijheid. Goed ontbijt en maaltijden.
Wij hadden een kamer op de zon tijdens zeer warme dagen. Een geopende balkondeur kon dit nauwelijks aan - misschien is airconditioning een aanrader voor de toekomst?

A very comfortable hotel with a design scheme that is well out of the ordinary.I have stayed several times and would recommend it for the quality of its rooms and the ambience.

Dit hotel is het beste hotel wat we hebben gehad so far.
Staf is exellent en very helpfull, het kan gewoon niet beter.
Het is very central, the trein en de bus zijn op 5min loopafstand very handy.
Het breakfast is exellent . het hotel is very well decorated, and good value for money. Thanks a lot.

Bathrooms are still of more conventional design, but I hear they plan to address this next.

Nice,clean and large rooms. Well-designed environment and friendly personnel. Good food.
Some of the nights were warm and I did not see any obvious Air-Conditioning thermostat in the room. I was not bothered enough to ask the reception, so I may have missed it.

Very friendly service, indeed! Design Rooms are spacious and eccentric and definitely worth seeing (AND booking). Breakfast is a real surplus!

the interior design of the hotel- what an experience !!
very gentle crew, a nice terrace
relationship: price -service was o.k., fresh breakfast - something for everybodys taste ( I liked the brown bread)
the location between a National road and the train - line...... (noise), but all places of interest in Nothern Holland well to reach !

Clean, good service. Interesting design elements, very stylish modern interior
The hotel is situated between a busy street (traffic noise) and a busy railroad. Trains are running until 2 AM ! For the hot days: there is no airco in the room.

service and hospitality particularly from restaurant staff was outstanding
Found our room to be rather uninviting. Of course we know it is not continental practise to provide tea/coffee trays as in the uk, but at least a bottle of water would have been nice ..but nothing!
