Hotel
City Hotel Hengelo offers a contemporary accommodation in the centre of Hengelo. The hotel is located within 150 metres of the railway station and near the A1 motorway. You can watch movies and theatre shows in the adjacent 'Rabotheater'. The hotel is a good choice for exploring Hengelo and the Twente region.
Each floor is designed with its own theme in mind: Hengelo, Art, Travel and Theatre. The themes are carried through into the hotel rooms, which are equipped with complimentary tea and coffee facilities, a safe, a spacious bathroom and a workspace. A free ADSL connection is available in the rooms. Delicious regional and seasonal dishes are served in the Star Café Diner. A service space is situated in the corridor and offers a soft drinks vending machine, ice cubes and an ironing board and iron.
Surroundings
City Hotel Hengelo is located in Twente, a region characterised by its landscape of gentle slopes. A visit to the country estate surrounding Twickel Castle is highly recommended. In Hengelo itself, you'll encounter nice shops and several museums. The collections at the Museum Hengelo offer visitors an insight into the local history, while the Oyfo Techniekmuseum is the perfect place to get acquainted with industrial technology; playful and informative!
Food and Drink
Start your day well with a breakfast buffet available daily from 07:00 till 12:00. The stylish Star Café Diner offers anything from a coffee to a delicicous dinner. The kitchen is open Monday to Thursday from 17:00 until 21:30. If the kitchen is closed it's possible to order something from the select menu from 12:30 onwards (e.g. soups, sandwiches, lasagna).

city center, train station, shops, restaurants and bars all within short walking distance. rooms were spacious and comfotable beds. minibar, nespresso machine and free tea and koffie in the room. Staff were very friendly.
The only thing I can think of is that a bottle of water would have been nice to have in the room

The hotel is in a perfect location. Close to the waterfront. Nice big roofs, Excellent service from staff. Highly recommended.
Parking can be a bit tricky. Parking is public parking away from the building. Not to difficult to find.

Hello and WOW,I loved every minute of staying at your superb hotel. The location was great,the rooms were very accommodating and comfortable. Your staff was more than helpful and then there was the exceptionally tasteful breakfast that greeted us in the morning,this was absolutely great. The choice and quality of the food was first class. I will definatly be looking to book another room in this establishment next year when I return to Hengelo. Good price perfect location. Car park ( 9.90) directly opposite.
Dark carpets furniture made it feel unclean (although I it wasn t). Just a bad choice of colours.

All the staff I dealt with were friendly, helpful, and thoughtful
I went to bed without thinking about adjusting the temperature in the room and woke up too hot, while the bathroom was a little cold. This is a very minor criticism as temperatures are easily adjustable.

Very obligiñg staff who go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay and do their best to inform you about anything you wish to know. Breakfast is very nice. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Wonderful location, very close to shops and restaurants, but also good food in-house. Overall a great place to stay.

This hotel has spacious rooms that are clean and modern. The hotel is only a block away form Hengelo s central station.
Although the central station is very close to the hotel, it is difficult to reach it the first time if there is no one to ask when you arrive at the train station. It would be good to have a better map on the hotel s webpage.
