You'll find the Gooiland Hotel in one of Hilversum's most architectural buildings. This hotel was completely renovated in 2017. A sleek design with a nod to the heydays of radio and traditional Dutch brands characterise this hotel. Enjoy sleeping in a wonderful Auping bed under Hema duvets, drink Pickwick tea, and eat a typically Dutch rusk biscuit from Bolletje. Each room comes with a Nespresso machine, a rain shower, air conditioning, and a Philips flatscreen television. In addition to Double Rooms, the hotel also offers Triple Rooms, Family Rooms and Suites. Various parking facilities are available just around the corner, and the railway station is a 10-minute walk away. Free high-speed WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
Surroundings
Gooiland Hotel is located in the media city of the Netherlands. Ever wondered how radio and television are made? Then visit the interactive Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision. And there is plenty more to see and do in the surroundings, with something for everyone! History buffs will revel in a trip to the fortified town of Naarden or to Muiderslot Castle. Those who love peace and quiet can enjoy beautiful walks and bike rides through the woody surroundings or by the lakes of the Loosdrechtse Plassen. What's more, Soestdijk Palace, Amersfoort Zoo, and the National Military Museum are also well worth visiting. Not to mention the cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht, both are just a 20-minute train ride away.

Enjoy a great start to your day with the extensive breakfast buffet. On weekdays, breakfast is available from 07:00 until 10:00, on Saturdays from 07:00 to 11:00 and on Sundays from 08:00 to 11:00. You can visit the Copper Bar for a tasty drink. Although the hotel itself doesn't have a restaurant, you'll find plenty of good places in Hilversum where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and/or dinner.

Travelling alone april 2018
pleasant friendly service, nice room, comfortable beds
One bedside light did not work, of the other one it was hard to find the switch. As the use of a phone was mentioned in the instructions book, I looked for a phone but couldn t find one (not everyone has a mobile phone ). I gave up on the use of the Nespresso machine. The friendly lady at the reception said you should have asked me. For me that would have meant to come down two floors in my nightie. So, in a few words please take into account that not everyone has moved into the 21st century.
