Hotel de Selpshoeve is housed in a detached, traditional Dutch farmhouse, on a beautiful spot that offers a magnificent view of the Wadden Sea and the picturesque village of Holwerd. Holwerd has pretty, historic houses along nostalgic canals. Holwerd is also known for the Holwerder Pier that stretches out 2 kilometers into the sea, making it the longest pier in Europe. This pier is the departure point for both mudflat walkers and seal-watching cruise boats. The ferry to Ameland also sails from here, on a voyage of about 45 minutes to the beautiful island.
