Close to Heerlen and on the fringe of the Strijthagerbeekdal nature reserve is where you will find Hotel Winselerhof. The hotel is a converted 16th-century farmhouse and is part of the Winselerhof estate. The estate consists of the hotel, restaurant Pirandello, Luigi's Lunchrestaurant & Bar, a vineyard and an orchard. The restaurant makes use of the products that are grown on the estate.
The hotel consists of 49 rooms that are located around the inner courtyard. Characteristic elements of the building can still be seen in every room, such as arched ceilings and wooden beams.The hotel rooms include free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, flatscreen TV and a hairdryer. The Deluxe Rooms have a bath or shower. The Junior Suite and the Senior Suite both include a bath or shower, as well as complimentary bathrobes.
Surroundings
From Hotel Winselerhof you can walk straight out into nature. 'Mondo Verde' park with its gardens, animals and attractions, the indoor ski slope SnowWorld Landgraaf, and GaiaZOO are all within walking distance. The cities Heerlen, Aken, Valkenburg and Maastricht are not far away either.People who like to go shopping can have a great time at the outlet shopping centres of Roermond and Maasmechelen. There are also several more vineyards in the hotel's vicinity.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 10:00 on weekdays, and between 08:00 and 11:00 at weekends. Lunchrestaurant & Bar 'Luigi's' is situated beneath the historical farmhouse's arched ceiling.The lunchrestaurant is open daily for lunch between 12:00 and 15:00, and from 12:00 on Sundays. The bar is open daily from 15:00. The à la carte restaurant Pirandello is open daily between 18:00 and 21:00. The Italian restaurant has a wonderful view out towards the vineyard and the Limburg nature. The dishes are made with fresh, regional products, some of which are grown on the Winselerhof estate itself. The restaurant also includes a terrace, which is a great place to eat outside when weather permits.
