The Fletcher Paleis Stadhouderlijk Hof is a 4-star hotel in the capital of the province of Friesland. Up until 1971 this palace was owned by the Dutch royal family. The hotel still retains its regal atmosphere. You can now enjoy a luxurious night's sleep in this monumental building, fit for a king. The hotel's double rooms feature a bathroom with a toilet and a hydro-massage shower, as well as a television and a telephone. Besides these comfortable rooms, the hotel has romantic suites with a hot tub and a canopy. The Living Suites also come with a separate sitting area. These luxury facilities, combined with the 18th century setting, will guarantee an utmost pleasant stay in the hotel. The Living Rooms can accommodate up to four people and are located on the second floor. These rooms have a separate bedroom with a sofa bed in the living room. These living rooms are perfect for an extended stay in the hotel.

Kings suite but no king size bed No toiletries just a soap dispenser that didn t work Breakfast no salad or salmon or fresh fruit

Large, airy room with opening windows, huge bathroom and bedroom. Great outlook, helpful staff, plenty of good restaurants handy. The old town is worth walking through and the place is full of character.
Cheap plastic water glasses in room (broken), well out of character with the quality of the hotel. No complementary toileteries a bit penny pinching, the only jarring note.

Good English spoken. V. friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Great decor.
None except that reception MUST ensure that guests provide car keys to enable proper parking control.
