The Hotel Hof van Gelre is located within walking distance of the town centre of Lochem and boasts excellent accessibility and a quiet location in the Gelderse Achterhoek. The friendly reception in the pleasant lounge will make you feel right at home. In the adjoining spacious sun room, guests can overlook the hotel's lovely garden and lawn bowling court. The hotel bar in the lounge is a great place to order a drink, play some billiards, or a game of darts. Most of all, the lounge is a place to catch up on conversation and relax after a long walk.
The attentive staff will gladly assist its guests in finding a good excursion or activity in the lovely surroundings. The versatile Achterhoek area has many walking and cycling routes that reveal its most charming locations. Hotel guests can rent a bike and get advice about a good route at the reception. Public transportation can also be easily accessed: the bus station is within 7 minutes' walking distance and the train station is approximately 20 minutes away. By car, you can reach the A1 motorway within 10 minutes.

A walk through the versatile and woody countryside can take you to the highest point in the area: the 'Lochemse Berg.' Walking on the paths along the slopes of this hill, you may even find a 'Lochem Diamond,' an actual rock-crystal!

The breakfast buffet is available from 07:30 until 10:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 08:00 until 10:30 on Sundays. For an à la carte lunch or dinner, guests can visit the hotel's restaurant between 12:00 and 21:00. Here you can choose between many regional and seasonal specialities. The restaurant's kitchen specialises in savoury meat dishes. In the atmospheric lounge, guests can relax with a cup of coffee or have a nice drink at the bar.

Friendly staff, great location within walking distance of the town. A very tranquil setting in a small town in a rural area. Beautiful walks including the deer park, the pond with ducks and swans and the Lochemse berg, a nearby hill situated in a pretty forest.
Nothing to remark on.

het gerammel met sleutels waar je wakker van wordt, automatich systeem zou up to date zijn. Graag hotels.nl in het nederlands benaderen en niet in het engels, kan niet iedereen spreken en/of lezen.

I would like to give special recognition to Sanders, Joost, and the young man who was at the front desk for the first two nights of our stay. I feel they went over and beyond their duties. They were very helpful and pleasant when we talked with them. All of the staff was kind and pleasant but these three stand out.
