Surroundings
The centre of Liège has something for everyone! The city's historical centre is packed with beautiful museums, many sights and attractions and charming squares. Here you'll find trendy restaurants as well as eateries serving traditional Belgian dishes. An absolute must to try are the authentic Liège waffles. North of the centre is Montagne de Bueren. This ascending street is 260 metres long at the top of which are 374 steps. Stretched out along the banks of the River Maas every Sunday morning is a 5-kilometre-long market called La Batte. This market is one of the city's main attractions and is definitely worth visiting.
