Very good hotel. I benefited from the swimming pool, which is VERY nice and well organised. Breakfast very copious in the morning, and staff was very kind to assist us. In additio, Maastricht is a very nice city to visit. I attended for the TEFAF, and will aim to return shortly.
Everything is perfect

This is the 5th time we have stayed at this hotel. Previous visits have been very good. The hotel is in an ideal location for our needs and also has a swimming pool which we do use.
We were unable to get the type of room we normally have do we had to upgrade to a suite. The first room they gave us on arrival was so dark even with the lights on. It had a small window looking on to brick wall and a third bed we had asked for a twin room. We asked reception if we could be moved which they did to a suite with a dangerous flight of stairs leading to bedroom as pensioners we found them quite dauntingThere was a big mark on the bedroom carpet that looked like it belonged down th
“My tip: Good hotel but has down hill in the last year. Breakfast was chaotic no one to replenish food trays or clear tables only the manager running round like a headless chicken trying to keep up. I would recommend this hotel but it needs to look at improvements of its service.”

The room was super clea, great location, lovely beds awesome bath
The room was like a sauna the first night. We could not get it cooler, the window was very small, and the climate control made no dint in the heat, it was really really hot

Close to Maaastricht railway station. Friendly and helpful desk staff with excellent English
Bathroom fan not working so room very stuffy. Lights in bedroom not all working. Long wait for iron in spite of ordering it the previous day - even then had to chase up. Long wait (at least an hour) to be served in restaurant in spite of booking places the previous day. But food when it came was good. Not particularly their fault but unavoidable stairs up and down to room (also could have done with handrail in one case)
“My tip: Easy to walk into town and very pleasant particularly as weather was good ”

Very convenient for access to NS Railway station. Pleasant staff, courtious Nice old style clean hotel, seems very popular esp with German visitors. The area has some excellent restaurants and also lovely shops, Breakfast included was fine.
About 20 minutes walk to centre of town, accross the River Maas, but passing some very nice shops on the way Bottles shampoo and hand wash, from dispensers. Bought my own. For a 4 star hotel I had expected better. Air conditioning needs attention, regarding top floor (4th floor) quite noisy during the night due to technical problems. It faded away after a while, but we had problems every night. Very expensive weekend rate ie Saturday night almost E 200 while weekdays were E 145.
“My tip: Bring or buy your own shampoo, shower gel etc. The Flo restaurant is gourmet dining at its best,, very close to hotel. Great when arriving by train. Also close to Liege by train and can access Brussels via Liege. The Bonifanten Museam is very close as well as the Ceramique Museum. There are some very expensive, designer shops in one of the side streets parallel to the river, before crossing the river Maas. A trip by boat to the ancient caves at St Pieterberg is a must. Maastricht is a shop”

Good location near the train station, not noisy at night. Restaurant has interesting interior, service friendly.
Soap automat did not function well.
“My tip: Ask for room 205,305, 405 etc. because it is a very nice light room at the corner of the hotel. Italian restaurant Quattro Mori excellent for lunch. Visit the Bonnefanten Museum.”

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful Would be more than happy if the hotel want to contact me.
We paid 187 Euros per night which we think is expensive. We did expect more - such as toiletries, mini bar etc. Deluxe room is not the right description.
“My tip: Andre Rieu concert - Gauchos a good place to enjoy the concert from!”

5 minutes from city centre, lovely staff. The lobby looked smart and clean
the hotel rooms and swimming pool needs serious updating, everything is worn and tried looking. In our room, there was drawing on the walls. the carpet looked like it hadnt been replaced since the 80's.
“My tip: there was always something to eat, i would recommend the kebab hut, outside the hotel, delish!”

I was pleased to receive an excellent value-for-money dinner.
Breakfast was disappointing; no muesli, no skimmed or soya milk, no cooked breakfast, minimal fruit, no healthy yoghurts (e.g. Benecol, etc.)
“My tip: Very convenient as a travel hub, with the station being over the road.”

Always a good stay, we actually had 2 meals in the restaurant this year, lobster soup was exceptional. Service as always was excellent, and as usual we have no complaints. Have already booked for the July Andre weekend.
Room 326 could do with a little attention to decoration alongside the bed where the paint seems to be chipping of the wall.
“My tip: The restaurant was excellent and service the first week was excellent, the waiter the second week was a bit off hand when the barman told him we were English until he found out my husband spoke very fluent German then his attitude changed. Otherwise the food both weeks was excellent. The Maitre d'hotel was extremely polite and "old school" very professional.”

Location right next to the station. Friendly reception staff. Large rooms - very spacious. Acted promptly to requests (e.g. extra creamer for the tea/coffee in the room) Nice bathroom with deep bath, Dove toiletries & very hot water. Very nice, quiet swimming pool.
Even with A/c on max (&windows; open) could not get a good night's sleep as the room was too warm. Expensive Breakfast (17.50)
“My tip: Take your breakfast in the cafe next door - much better value (5.50 for toast, croissant, jam, tea/coffee & fresh orange juice). Don't forget your swimming gear”
