The Zenden Design Hotel Maastricht is situated in three historic mansions dating from the seventeenth century. The Zenden Hotel is an intimate and elegant design hotel with very friendly staff. It lies near the River Maas, in the historic district 'Jekerkwartier'.
The hotel offers amazing and unique rooms with extra long beds and interesting room names such as the Urban Room, the Patio Room and the Wow Room. In the medieval vaulted cellar of the hotel you can relax in the pool or participate in a free group lesson of yoga, zumba and spinning.
Surroundings
Near the Zenden Design Hotel lies the cosy Onze-Lieve-Vrouweplein (Our-Dear-Lady square) and the beautiful district 'Stokstraa' where Maastricht's most exclusive fashion stores are located, as well as numerous restaurants and cafes. Culturally too, there is much to enjoy in Maastricht, there are few cities where you will find so many art galleries that close together. The Museum at the Vrijthof has style rooms decorated with 17th and 18th century furniture and paintings, and the Natural History Museum is worth a visit as well. The Bonnefantenmuseum shows contemporary art and works by old Flemish masters such as Rubens and Van Dyck.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday between 08:00 h. to 11:00 h. and in the weekends from 09:00 to 11:00 h. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but Maastricht offers plenty of good restaurants. During the day you can enjoy a good cup of coffee in the hotel's coffee bar.

A lot of power plugs. Nice kitchen. Nice balcony. Placed in the middle of everything.
Expensive packing. No extractor hood- the fire alarm starts when you are cooking.

Good location, our studio (2) overlooked the river which was very nice. Easy walking to centre of Maastricht. Immaculate.
Minimalist to the extreme! Needed towel rails in kitchen and bathroom to avoid dropping towels on floor. No shelves or hooks to hang toiletry bags etc. Shower only worked from handheld device - wall mounted shower not working.
Dishwasher available - no dishwashing tablets provided. Nowhere to put clean washing-up to drain before drying. No mugs for tea! Not aware of swimming pool before arrival so did not have swim kit with us.
