Hotel
As early as 1688, Hotel In den Hoof served as a stopping place for travellers with horse and carriage. As such, the notions of a warm welcome and good service have been embraced here for centuries. A bus stops close to Hotel In den Hoof and will take you to Maastricht in just 5 minutes.
The hotel offers an array of facilities for business guests, including a conference room that can accommodate up to 20 people. This room is fitted with video equipment, an overhead projector, and a flip-over chart. In short, an excellent venue for meetings and seminars with the option of quality catering provided by the hotel's international kitchen.
The hotel has an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a drink with a view. All rooms come with a television, a telephone, and a bathroom with a bath/shower and a toilet.
Surroundings
Hotel In den Hoof lies in the splendid Limburg landscape where you can visit the caves of St. Pietersberg or walk the famous 'mergelroute'. This area borders Germany and Belgium, making it easy to visit Aachen or Liège. A trip to the 'Drielandenpunt' in Vaals (the point where the three countries meet) is also highly recommended. This is the Netherlands' highest point and offers plenty of fun for the children with an exciting labyrinth and a playground. Maastricht is also a wonderful city for culture lovers. Museums, shops, monuments; you'll find everything within walking distance in Maastricht's historic centre.
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is served daily at Hotel In den Hoof between 07:00 and 10:00. In the evenings, set in an atmospheric building packed with history, guests can enjoy dishes with an international twist served in the hotel's exuberant restaurant, which additionally serves typically Limburg seasonal and regional dishes. The menu changes regularly. The restaurant's kitchen is open daily for lunch and dinner between 12:00 and 20:30.

Very helpful and friendly staff even allowed me to use the garage to park my car. Clean with good food and very flexible with food times etc.
No lift, we were on the 2nd floor and have some mobility difficulties. . Our room was on the roadside of the hotel and the traffic was a little bit noisy, not enough to disturb sleep and aside from that the place is great
“My tip: 15 minutes to Germany, 3 or 4 minutes to the centre of Maastricht. you can travel in all directions with ease from this hotel.”

The locality as it was near my son and his family. Convenient for a bus into town.
Lack of soap in the bathroom. No fruit salad for breakfast on Monday and Tuesday.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing and the hotel and room itself were pleasant and comfortable.
“My tip: Maastricht is a lovely place. Walking in doesn't take long at all and there are some very appealing restaurants and a great view if you get to the river.”

Host spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. Tourist information was most helpful. Rooms were very quiet; exactly what we requested. A short but very enjoyable stay, for us as a couple and my elderly mother. Thank you.
“My tip: Sample the well-signposted 'Mergellandroute' circular tourist route by car or cycle to enjoy the scenery and refreshment stops.”

Very spacious quad room Comfortable beds Friendly reception Good quality breakfast Nice walk (10km) starting opposite the hotel
Room was on the upper floor with a low ceiling and close to the kitchen vent, which made the room smell of frying oil. Wouldn't be very noticeable on a normal day, but because of the heat, we had to have all the windows open. (No airco, but we wouldn't have expected one because the temperatures are seldom this high in Maastricht). Also, even at the back of the hotel the noise of the road is very audible.
