Het Wapen van Middelie is a remarkable hotel. A personal approach in a casual setting is the hotel's calling card. It gives guests a sense of home in a beautiful area. There are various touristic bike routes near Het Wapen van Middelie. At the reception guests can have these routes outlined. The hotel also has rental bikes. There are also five fortresses in De Beemster. Middelie is 25 kilometres away from Amsterdam. By bike, which can be rented at the hotel, guests can easily go to the famous towns Volendam and Edam through the natural surroundings.

very pleasant stay in a relaxing, safe atmosphere; beautiful big room with a balcony (nice for smokers) in a well-appointed typical hollandish house in a tiny, calm villagge near Amsterdam; the owner is a smart man and the staff is friendly and helpful; no problem to bring your dogs - they are welcome,too! parking and garden; we really loved our stay there
no real minus points- maybe the WLan price could be for the whole stay, not at a daily rate

The service from the hotel was excellent, from the day we came and to we left! The staff was always friendly and smiling with their eyes. The selection on the menu was very good and the chef also adjusted the menu so the children were also pleased! We were glad we found this hotel and we are looking forward to come back!
The prices on the menu were good, when you saw the dishes they served compared to restaurants in Volendam, Edam and Amsterdam. We regretted that we did not have a meal there in stead of other places.
