Hotel Mijdrecht Marickenland is situated in a rural area. It takes just a short cycle trip to reach the 'Vinkeveense' lakes and nature reserves 'Marickenland' and 'Botshol'. At a mere 30-minute ride from the hotel are the bustling cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht, where you can find nice museums and shops.
From Mijdrecht the business district of Amsterdam can be easily reached, with such locations as the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre and the WTC. Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is located at about 15 kilometres from the hotel. For business meetings the hotel offers four luxurious and multifunctional meeting rooms.
The hotel rooms have all been comfortably decorated and are equipped with amenities such as a shower, toilet, hair dryer flatscreen television with movie channel and a desk. Wireless Internet is available at no additional charge. Valuables can be kept in a safe, which is also large enough to contain a laptop.
Surroundings
Hotel Mijdrecht Marickenland has a convenient location for both the business and recreational traveller. Via the A2 motorway you can reach Amsterdam in about 15 minutes and Schiphol Amsterdam Airport can be reached within 20 minutes. A short bicycle ride will take you to the lakes 'Vinkeveense Plassen'. All kinds of aquatic sports are possible on the lakes. One can, for example, rent a sail boat or row boat here. The scenic nature reserves 'Marickenland' and 'Botshol' are within easy reach as well.
Food and Drink
The savoury breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:00 to 09:30 h. and on weekends from 07:30 to 10:30 h. The Grand Café-Restaurant 'Meesters' offers excellent dishes. In the grand café you can have a nice lunch and the restaurant is an excellent choice for an extensive (business) lunch. In the evening guests can dine in a warm and casual atmosphere. On sunny days guests can eat on the outside terrace at the front or at the back of the hotel. In the bar you can have a drink or bite.

Very friendly staff in hotel, as well as the restaurant. Room was well lighted and kept clean during our 4 night stay. This was our first visit to this Hotel, but will definitely be back.
Not so much minus points, but rather suggestions.
Would like a secured entrance to the hotel for guests closer to the rooms, also would like to see small coffee makers in the room.

Ideal location from where to visit the major cities in The Netherlands. The village of Mijdrecht has the basic facilities, such as a small shopping centre, that one would need. Also close to Schiphol Airport.

This is a nice hotel with modern design and still a castle type of architecture fitting to the rural site the hotel is located. I stayed there for the second time and it is easy to reach from the highway when traveling to Amsterdam by car. The personnel is very friendly. I could walk in the morning in the nice fields around and enjoy the countryside.

Is a very romantic hotel,the design is nice and the personal is also very kind!
I was expecting more for a four stars hotel,the shower was not cleaned good enough and had very unconfortable beds!

Convienient location and very easy to book online. Really nice clean pleasent hotel. I will stop there next time I am in the area.
Keycard didn\'t work on second night when I returned. My booking cost which I did online was €175.00 but when I checked out I was charged €244.00 which I am currently disputing with AMEX.
