Pension Bakema lies in the northen part of the village of Nes. 'Toben' bus stop is just 150 metres from Bakema guesthouse, providing easy transport links to Hollum and the ferry terminal. The recreational area of De Vleijen is only a 5-minute walk from the guesthouse. This area offers 37 acres of fun-filled water activities for children. Ameland is great to explore by bike; through the dunes, along the beach or across the heaths. Bike hire is available near the guesthouse, where you can hire a bike for either one or several days. Naturally, you can also take lovely, long walks on the beach or enjoy a drink at one of the many beach pavilions.

There are also plenty of lovely spots in the villages of Nes and Hollum where you can enjoy a good lunch or a nice drink.
