WestCord Hotel Noordsee is a comfortable 4-star hotel on the beautiful West Frisian Island of Ameland. The hotel is centrally located close to the village of Nes, where the ferry moors. The hotel has 54 Comfort Rooms and 24 Comfort Deluxe Rooms. All rooms are comfortably furnished and come with a bathroom with a bath/shower and a separate toilet, 2 separate box-spring beds, a spacious sitting area and a balcony or a patio. The hotel also has Family Rooms, which are particularly suited to a longer stay. These rooms come with a living room with an open plan kitchen and 2 bedrooms, including 1 bedroom with bunkbeds. Activities are organised during school holidays for children aged 2 - 12 years old. The hotel has a playground and a babysitting service is available on request.
The hotel has an attractive Grand Café with a bar, Restaurant Vincenzo, outdoor terraces and a garden. The hotel is perfect for relaxation; unwind in the sauna or the Turkish steam bath (both are €8 per person), take a dip in the free indoor swimming pool or enjoy a drink by the fireplace in the lounge. You can also make use of the sunbeds at €9 per person (prices are subject to change). It's even possible to hire an electric bike at the hotel. The hotel offers room service. The hotel is within walking distance of both the North Sea and the Wadden Sea beaches. The island of Ameland is known for its wonderful natural beauty. On the eastern side of the island you'll find the Oerd nature reserve, a swampy area which is the habitat of many species of birds. Ameland has four villages, Nes, Buren, Hollum and Ballum as well as a wonderful diverse landscape with beaches, mudflats, dunes, heaths and meadows.

WestCord Hotel Noordsee is located on the edge of the village of Nes, on the island of Ameland. The ferry terminal lies to the south of the village; where the ferry sails to Holwerd on the Dutch mainland. The island has 27 kilometres of beaches and no less than 100 kilometres of cycling paths; allowing you to easily explore the beautiful, white sandy beaches and the rich natural beauty of the island. The island hosts the Ameland Art Month in November. Many national and international artists display their work on the island during this festival.
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is available on Monday to Friday from 08:00 until 10:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 until 10:30. Restaurant Vincenzo guarantees a culinary evening allowing you to enjoy well-prepared dishes with an emphasis on international cuisine. The restaurant is suitable for guests of all ages. There is also a special children's menu. You can take a seat in the hotel's Grand Café, where you can enjoy a delicious drink. It is also possible to order a packed lunch at the hotel at a cost of €9.50 per person (prices are subject to change).

Very useful and convenient room (appartement by the way).
Price of the cleaning should be included in the price of the night.
The cleaning was not perfect.
Building is also a little noisy.
“My tip: This appart hotel is very convenient for a family. You can bring your own food (there is a fridge) you can cook (microwave oven + cooking place). But bring your own stuff to wash the dish (no dish washer, and the tools given to wash are not so efficient !)”

Ameland is beautiful and with the bicycle rental in the hotel you can discover the little island. Comfortable (suite)rooms, well equipped like small studio with sunny terrace.
Small room service menu but tasty and good , restaurant food also OK.
Hotel appears a bit worn out to be a good 4*, carpets, walls, etc. It would need a "refreshment"
The area where the hotel is generally tranquil but occasional noises from the disco in the neighborhood.

Nice hotel in a nice location.Large rooms.
Very poor breakfast,staff sometimes hard to find and they seemed to be doing two or three jobs so it looked like the hotel was understaffed.
Why do Dutch hotels never supplt tea or coffee making facilaties in your room especially when the hotel is virtually locked down by 00:30

The location is very good being a few minutes walk from the centre of Nes and the beach. Cleaniless was generally very good and staff were most helpful even providing breakfast earlier than advertised to assist with a race in the morning.
Both ourselves and friends in other rooms discovered red bites on our bodies each morning. Since these had no centres to them and there were no mosquitos to be seen the suspicion is of bed mites.
