De ontvangst was buitengewoon vriendelijk en plezierig. Het hotel ademt luxe en is prettig vertoeven. De quality quantity van het champagneontbijtbuffet is erg goed.

De lift moet geactiveerd worden via de hotelkamersleutel (kaart). Dit werkte niet altijd even vlot en gaf wel wat gehannes iedere keer als je van de lift gebruik wilde maken. Het ontbijt - hoe lekker ook - was qua service wat minder het was erg druk en je moest je eigen tafel zoeken. De weinig vrije tafeltjes stonden vol met vuile vaat van voorgangers. Begrijpelijk dat wij misschien niet in de topdrukte kwamen eten maar het gaf een rommelige indruk.

“My tip: Wij hebben erg genoten van de (nogal aan de dure kant) argentijnse steaks van Gauchos aan de Maas en van het biertjes proeven bij de Kaapse bierbrouwers. Beide aanraders.”

Luggage trollies hidden in reception, so not noticed by me until too late. Spa seemed unloved by maintenance staff on two visits insufficient towels, floor covered in water, steam room not working. Wi-fi non existent in room. See-through panel between bathroom and bedroom. Suggesting bedroom games Bathroom shaving mirror badly positioned re lighting. Felt like a hotel struggling to keep its four stars.

Very close to the subway. Just outside the door. Only a few 100 meters away from restaurant area. Car parking at the hotel taken care of by receptionist (parking and picking up your car for you)

“My tip: The subway or tram takes you anywhere you want to go in the city on rainy days. With sunny weather take a walk besides the water or to the markthallen. Cross the erasmuss bridge and walk up to Hotel American for a great meal or walk to the witte de withstraat for several bars and restaurants. Walk around and you will find plenty of places to ho for entertaiment food and or drink. its a lively friendly great city to go to with plenty of design and architecture.”

Good service, well attended by staff, but bad room isolation

Well attended by staff, especially at the reception, when i requested another room and a late check out.

Isolation of the room is not so good, I could hear the other guests'performances at night. Housekeepers were making a lot of noise. The showers did not work at the wellness centre I've stayed in this hotel in February, I had a good experience, but this time, there were some works (no swimming pool this time) and no information was given on this, not even at the reception.

Once the construction is complete this will likebe a much better value

the health centre was under construction so the gym exquipment was extremely limited.... also much construction outside the hotel. i would have appreciated knowing this in advance

Dit hotel mag service met een grote "S" schrijven! Er werkt een hele fijne "bemanning" in dit hotel.

service wise is very nice, reception people are all very nice and friendly.

i stayed in the hotel in 2008 and the feeling is quite nice however, after my second time it was down graded. breakfast is not as good as before also the reconstruction on toilette is a bit annoying. seems too many tourist are there, playing music on lobby loudly which is a bit noisy.

Everything was perfectly clean and comforting. And the champaign breakfast was delicious. Location was good for us since we had a party nearby.

The room was smaller then we expected. For €99 we expected a bigger room.
