Comfortable stay, great location

Very well-situated hotel just opposite the Stadshuis. Excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and plenty of food. Friendly staff at check-in, breakfast, and dealing with enquiries. Breakfast until 12.00 and late checkout until 15.00 on Sunday was also ideal.

A very slight minus point was that the room seemed a bit dark due to the somewhat older construction of the building not a lot of light gets in. Also some of the furnishings (curtains, carpets, a lamp) seemed a bit old and dirty a refresh would probably also help brighten up the room. But these are minor details, and didn t detract much from the overall positive experience.

First time in Rotterdam

Chose this hotel by chance but what a lucky choice. So close to the rail station but right in the middle of all the action with lots of shops and great nightlife on the doorstep. Standard room was lovely, plenty of space with a really comfortable bed and very good shower. Big window with a good view right up Coolsingel .Breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful with something for everyone

No negatives other than we were only staying one night and wanted to stay longer. Our mistake and one we ll put right very soon

Price and location good. Nice new breakfast area since I last stayed. Breakfast varied and good quality. Staff helpful and have right service culture.

My booking of 2 rooms for 2 people, when I arrived had been mis communicated and was only down for 1 room 2 people. This could have been quite embarrassing! Hotel did sort it out and honoured the booking and luckily had enough rooms. I'd say the rooms we were given were small, abit tired. WIndows need desperate replacement and should be double glazed to cut out traffic noise.

Great Location and Service but Book Early to Get a Good Deal

Great location in the centre. Had a great nights sleep, really comfortable bed and the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in - our room was on the top floor and there was no noise from traffic or other guests over the whole weekend. Staff were always friendly and when we arrived slightly early they let us check in right away. Room was clean and comfortable, overall a really pleasant stay.

Room was a bit too cold when we came back in the evening and the heating is not adjustable. We got a good deal by booking early, but I probably wouldn't have been as happy if we'd paid the full rate, it is a bit overpriced for what it is.

I liked to stay in this hotel as its been the prime centre for everything, whether it was for shopping or going around or spending the evening leisurely.rotterdam was really rocking at weekends, great place to spend your holiday

Location and breakfast.

As a business traveller not having internet in the rooms, air conditioning or a decent iron/ironing board to keep the shirts under control puts the hotel in the 3* category not 4*. I stayed in the hotel regularly when it was the Tulip, in all aspects other than service and the food, it could do with some upgrading.

OK if you get a good rate. Dated, no free internet.

Reasonable location. English TV (BBC 1 & 2). Cheaper than the Manhattan (although the Manhattan is far superior). No hassle getting taxis.

Dated decor, staff pestering me for my email adress when I checked in (so they could sign me up for their loyalty card without asking me if it wanted it or not!), no free internet access, poor selection of toiletries. Prices in mini bar were crazy expensive - drink the tapwater!

The hotel is placed very central. There is a good balance between price and comfort.

The breakfast is too expensive in respect to quality.

good position, excellent value for money. In the bathroom you can find a lot of useful things like a new toothbrush ( if you forgot them), comb, shaver and shaving foam ,bodymilk ecc.
