Hotel De Stobbe is located in the traditional village Ruinen, on the fringe of the gorgeous Dwingelderveld National Park.You can go on delightful walks or cycling trips in this national park. The hotel is a perfect base from which to explore the Drenthe province. Day-trip destinations include Borger's 'Hunebed Centre' (a museum next to the Netherlands' largest dolmen), the 'Boomkroonpad' in Drouwen (literally a 'path amongst the treetops'), amusement parks Slagharen or Plopsa Indoor Coevorden, 'museum village' Orvelte, former transit camp Westerbork or Emmen's Wildlands Adventure Zoo.The cities Assen, Meppel and Hoogeveen are all nearby, as well as the village Giethoorn.

Food and Drink

A breakfast buffet is available between 07:00 and 10:00 on weekdays, and between 07:30 and 10:30 at weekends.For lunches and dinners, you are welcome at Restaurant Brasserie Vrouwe Swedera. There is a different menu for each season, based on seasonal products. The hotel's Spreuken Café (Café of Sayings) is the place to be for a nice cup of coffee or a drink.
