A weekly Sunday market is held on the boulevard, where the traditional Catalan Sardana is also danced. Want to discover the Costa Brava's stunning landscape? Then how about venturing out on horseback? The riding school Hipica Edna is a 5-minute drive from the hotel and organises daily treks. What's more, the hotel offers bike hire with various cycling routes to explore these gorgeous surroundings.
Outside of Sant Feliu de Guixols, there's plenty to see and do. You can drive to the Platja d’Aro, a bustling beach resort with plenty of opportunities for shopping. A little further away, but well worth the effort is Barcelona. A trip to this beautiful metropolis is not to be missed!
Food and Drink
Every morning you can enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet on the outdoor terrace by the swimming pool. Breakfast is served daily from 08:00 until 10:30. The Van der Valk Barcarola furthermore offers three attractive restaurants, each with its own specialities. In restaurant Las Dunas, you can enjoy true Spanish classics such as delicious paella. La Casita is the tapas bar at the swimming pool's edge, where you can choose from a selection of tapas Spanish-style. The third restaurant, Tucan Beach, is situated on the beach and has a boulevard terrace. Here you can enjoy an extensive menu that offers something for everyone.
