With the beach as its neighbour and the city of The Hague (Den Haag) within easy reach, Carlton Beach Hotel Scheveningen is an ideal accommodation to stay or to hold a meeting. The hotel offers many facilities. The Carlton Sports Health Centre allows guests to relax in the heated swimming pool. At an additional charge, you can make use of the indoor and outdoor sauna and the solarium. Sporty guests will appreciate the gym. Guests can also have different types of massages at the hotel. The Carlton Beach Club is open in summertime. Here you can have lunch, dinner and barbecues or rent lounge beds and parasols.
The hotel rooms offer every comfort including WiFi, a safe, a bath or shower, a minibar, tea and coffee facilities and a balcony. Several rooms also have sea view. The hotel is a good venue for holding business meetings. The multifunctional rooms can host anything from small meetings to large receptions or conferences.
Surroundings
The Carlton Beach Hotel is located at the end of the boulevard of Scheveningen. Along the boulevard are the Palace Promenade shopping centre, the museum of statues, Beelden aan Zee and Sea Life. The Circus Theater lies en route to The Hague (Den Haag), where you can see musicals and theatre shows. The centre of The Hague is easy to reach by tram. Several important buildings and fun attractions can be found here, including the house of the Dutch parliament, Het Binnenhof, the royal palace Paleis Noordeinde and the miniature theme park, Madurodam.
Food and Drink
An elaborate breakfast buffet is available on Monday to Friday from 06:30 until 10:00, and at weekends from 07:00 until 11:00. The Carlton Beach Hotel offers several options for a delicious lunch or dinner. Let the chef surprise you with one of his original creations at the stylish Beach Brasserie. Guests can enjoy delightful fish or meat dishes in the informal ambiance of the Smugglers Grill Restaurant, while taking in the lovely sea view. The Smugglers Bar, which also offers a great view, is the perfect place for a drink and a snack. From March until the end of October, guests can visit the atmospheric Carton Beach Club, situated in front of the hotel. The beautiful view from the spacious outdoor terrace and from the indoor space, makes this the ultimate place to relax! Sunloungers and parasols are also available to hire. The Health Centre has a bar which serves healthy snacks and fresh juices.

Stayed here in March 2014 from England. Don t be put off by how the hotel looks from outside as inside it looks like it has been recently refurbished. The room was very clean modern and everything looked like it was new. We had an excellent view of the beach and pier even though our room was not classed as a sea view room and on the side of the hotel. All rooms have balconies with patio furniture so it was lovely to sit and admire the view. Nice spa and in door swimming pool. Tram stops righ

Front desk (Victor) forgot to pass on our reservation for beach chairs at the Carlton beach club, which were all taken afterwards.

Is at the sea side, therefore, just coming out from the hotel you have a nice view on the sea in and the dunes.... The location of the Hotel is really beautiful. Delux room is spacious and clean. The dinner served in the hotel is ok.
"Delux rooms " have view on a parking,... you can "enjoy" the garbage truck getting in-out of the garage. The information at the reception is poor; for example when we arrived and asked if we could have dinner in the hotel, the answer was Yes, but they forgot to inform us that we should reserve the restaurant before... The people are somehow polite but cold; they strictly answer your questions but they don't really try to help you. Heating system is noisy. The breakfast

Room was magnificent. Hotel was perfectly located. The staff was mostly wonderful.
They need to inform customers about the restricted nature of the swimming pool. The pool is a quiet place where old people complain about kids. This sort of wasted our trip. We picked the place so our 8 year old could swim on his birthday. The pool room says "be at home" but they lie. Pool is for mean-tempered old folks ONLY. We felt the place was misrepresented.

The location of the Hotel is superb.
Hotel boost 25 years of existence. One would do well to look at re-covering of upholstery, some fresh paint and carpets to present a well cared for and not a worn look.

Indoor heated pool for children. Breakfast very good although pricey. WIFI connection.
Inadequate parking. Resulted in parking fine after parking in the street. Majority of reception staff unfriendly and arrogant. Attitude of non-assistance. Sea facing superior plus room couldn't accommodate two extra beds for children as indicated when making booking.

fabulous. Staff lovely, food great (room service), we left a belt and camera cable in room. We recieved a phone call and they arranged to send them to us.
It was so good we are going back in April for the weekend. We would recommend this hotel for a great stay !!!!!!!!!

Carlton Beach Hotel is a pleasant place to have a vacation. It is far from the city centre but that is an advantage for a restful vacation.

Location, Beach Club location, Staff Hospitality excellent, Breakfast - Hot food excellent, Cleanliness very good.
Staff FORGOT to give us our early morning call for out taxi to the Airport(could have missed our flight??)\r\nCleanliness of seating out side furniture and windows - Beachclub. Windows dirty in Hotel room\r\nNumber 701, plus balcony.\r\nThe bar area was too small, during peak holiday weak, with adults and children - nowhere to sit. Was told we could not use other lounge areas around Breakfast area - so we sat outside with smokers.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definately go back. We had a great view of the water. The way the hotel is oriented so most of the rooms at this hotel had a nice view. Nice private balcony. We bought wine cheese and crackers from the local grocery store (less than 5 min walk) and sat out on the balcony enjoying the view in the evenings. At the end of the tram line so you could take the tram into town whenever you wanted with almost no wait. Great restaurants and shopping within easy (1 -10 min) walk. We recommend the mix grill at the Sol. My husband normally stays at the Mercure when he\'s in for business but plans on staying here from now on. The rooms are not as prestine but much better ambiance and great location. The breakfast buffet was very good. They gave you 50 min of internet time free. You just have to ask for the access card.
This is an older hotel on the beach so it is a little rough around the edges but that did little to detract from our visit.

The staff who helped us at check in, check out, in the bar and the restaurant were very nice. They were quick to speak english and helpful in guiding us to local places so we could enjoy the culture of this area.

Large room and very quiet all adds up to a goods night sleep
Cost of breakfast. As a person who only would eat a bowl of cereal a cup of tea and a glass of fruit juice I found the cost of 22 euros meant that I would not eat breakfast in the hotel.
