    View of sea and beach fom the room Pleasant professional staff Nice boardwalk in front of the hotel along the beach Great beach. The main room under the cupola is a sight to behold. We chose this hotel for its location which turned out to be a big disappointment for the reasons cited in the minus points below.

    Impossible to find parking for car. Have to use expensive valet service. Too few elevators to service rooms. Forced into long waits or taking the stairs. No beach facilities for the hotel and no swimming pool. There is just a smallish deck for taking in the sun Outdated fitnss equipment. The area around the hotel is way over developed with many tacky touristy developments not in keeping with the standing of the hotel. We had a superior room which felt really smallish with just enough r

    “My tip: The parking situation is a big drawback. Don t even try to self-park. The lot is almost always full with cars wating outside to get in one by one and they sometimes block the only way to drive to the hotel so even when you use the valet service you can get caught up in the self parking waiting line. Very frustrating situation which management has failed to adequately address.”

    Location was good, being so near the sea and the tram stop. Staff were pleasant. Room was very quiet. Beds were comfortable and roomy.

    Staff, though pleasant, were a little inefficient and slow. In particular, the staff who served us a late breakfast one morning seemed to find it very difficult to bring us coffee and milk at the same time and then to top up our coffees and bring us more milk all at the same time. Breakfast was very expensive too.

    Location and valet parking very convenient

    Reserved two rooms and only needed one due to change in son's plans, he visited friends in nearby Waasenaar. After I was informed that the booking had been online and was not cancellable, I asked hotel to exchange two rooms for one better room, but hotel management would not do so without an extra charge. Continued to ask for this into second day of stay. Finally hotel consented to an exchange for an executive room, which I had seen through an open door to be the same room, but including bre

    public areas are beautiful, rooms are small and plain; cold atmosphere

    The hotel's dining room is absolutely gorgeous. It's like eating in a palace. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. The hotel's location is great for Scheveningen. It's right in the middle of the boardwalk and located 2 minutes from the beach.

    The hotel staff are very cold. We were there to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary, which we noted on our reservation. No one at the hotel made note of this. Everything was done in a very cold and standard manner. The hotel lacks a sense of warmth. Also, the rooms are rather small and very plain for a 5 star hotel.

    If you want to please HER then stay her and give her a real break

    Beds particularly good and room comfort superb. Breakfasts excellent and service 1st class; efficient and friendly. Aesthetic appeal of building extremely good with historic elements preserved. Situation full of interest and activity. Female party found these made a superb restful break.

    Rooms on town side get a lot of noise in the early hours but if you close windows and put air conditioning on then you get a quiet night. Mini-bar prices extremely expensive. Room charges at lowest rate expensive but you do get value for money.Male party could have enjoyed holiday equally with less comfort and hygiene but with lower prices!

    Definitely one of the finest hotels around

    We stayed in Room 367 and found our stay very pleasant . Room size was good and had all luxury you could wish for during our one night stay .

    Noticed one point of interest and this is regarding movie ordering, price per movie 14,99 EUR . Found it a bit expensive finding the Pathe theater across the street where you can view the latest movies for about 9 EUR .

    Luxury by the sea without a walkout to the sea.

    Luxury room with a beautiful view of the North Sea, but at the same time, a tram stop that took me anywhere in Den Haag or to the train to go to Rotterdam, Utrecht or Amsterdam in about 40 min.

    Main floor of the hotel has been built around in such a way that access to the Boardwalk and seaside is closed off from you. The main dining room doesn't even look out at the sea.

    Am wonderful and not so wonderful experience

    Location was very nice and hotel was clean.

    The service in the restaurant during breakfast both days of our stay was very poor. You had to find someone for a cup of water for your tea. I know it is buffet but servers should be checking on the guests to make sure everything was fine. Also, we arrived early due to our flight from the States and the reception was not accomodating at all. They said just pay for an extra day when it was only 3 hours. For what we paid for the 2 rooms they could have been more accommodating or let us pay for the 3 hours. So that did not start a good impression.

    Nightmare Front Desk experience.

    Very quiet, very comfortable.

    The worst check=in and check-out I have EVER experienced in my life and I stay in many hotels. 15 minutes to check in and then my colleague was given an already occupied room. He had to queue again....no apology from the staff. 30 minutes to check out....Totally unacceptable.

    we were upgraded to an executive suite which gave us access to the executive lounge with drinks, breakfast and internet access free

    the loo had not been flushed and the bathroom was therefore quite smelly. The internet access didnt work.

    WE WENT TO SEE THE INTERNATIONAL FIREWORK DISPLAY - THE HOTEL WAS WELL PLACED FOR PERFECT VIEWING!

    WE DID CONTACT THE HOTEL EARLIER THIS YEAR TO FIND OUT THE EXACT DATES OF THE FIREWORKS AND WERE TOLD THE WRONG DATES - HENCE WE HAD TO CHANGE OUR FLIGHTS AT A PREMIUM COST!

    First stay here and it was great. Staff was very helpful. Location is great very close to restaurants, pier, casino's and some other attractions. Would be best go go in summertime for the water activities.

    amazing hotel for a beautiful place.

    Really a fantastic place. people really nice and professional. when you arrive you feel the sensation to be at home.

    Probably they have to improve the indication for arriving to the hotel and for the parking area near the hotel. if you arrive by car they are too little and you can see them only when it's too late.

    Hotel has great potential with a few adjustments

    The staff was very courteous. They brought room service very quickly even at late hours and brought an iron and ironing board to my room despite the late hour and housekeeping being closed. The bathrobes were a nice touch.

    I was not informed at check in the my wing was under construction and offered an available room in the other wing. The room was available because I requested it the following day. I had to wait a long time for service at the front desk. Many people were waiting. There two people at reception, one of which remained on the telephone and ignored the growing line. My key did not work despite them reprogramming it when I entered the hotel, when I returned to the front desk I had to wait for 15 minutes for them to program the key again. There were no phones on my floor beside the elevator to call the front desk and inform them to bring another key. I had to go back to the front desk. At 6 AM construction began above my head. It sounded like the machines were coming into the room. I could not sleep. I called the front desk who said they would \"send someone\" as if they did not know about the construction, which continued. You should have smoking rooms available in your hotel. Especially in the rooms which have not yet been renovated. The internet cord should be available in each room. I had to go back to the front desk to collect one. All guests intend to use the internet. The shower in my room ran only cold water and my breakfast was undercooked (soft boiled eggs were served instead of hard boiled eggs) making it inedible.
