Staff accommodated our very early arrival at no charge Clean modern room with all the comforts Free shuttle to and from the airport every 30 minutes Excellent soundproofing in the rooms which combined with comfortable bedding made for a great nights sleep Pool sauna area was really quite lovely.

For exploring Amsterdam itself, we found the trams more economical than the train. This hotel has a free shuttle to the airport where the train takes you downtown. Because of this, I think this is still a better airport hotel than Amsterdam hotel. Having said that, hotels downtown seem over priced and not rated as highly as this one with respect to the rooms. Without any doubt, I would stay here again .

Shuttle Service was very helpful to get to the city center easily since it runs every 30 min you are pretty flexible as well

shuttle overcrowded not all could get on, some had to get out again. Reception overcrowded, rude receptionist. Check out tried to overcharge me. They did not have my discounted Htel.nl price on file despite the fact that the hotel charged my stay upfront, so normally only tax was payable. Had to get manager to correct this. How cah such a hotel not have the booking price on file If I had checked out by just leaving in the morning, which was a recommended option according to receptionist I

“My tip: check out with checking your correct boookin price, so no express check out. At airport try to get in first line, otherwise you will not get place in small shuttle bus. Shuttle from hotel to airport is tricky. Other buses park right in front of hotel. You come out of hotel, they grab your carry on and you are on a trip to Amsterdam instead of to the airport. Nobody warns you. Stay alert for all these traps ”

Very nice business class hotel

Nice Quiet Room. Comfortable Bed. Great Staff. Nice and clean business class hotel. 10min shuttle bus drive from airport.

Overpriced meals and under impressed deserts in sports themed restaurant. No other dinning alternative nearby by location. But that s expected for airport hotels.

We had a wonderful experience in this hotel.

. The stuff was extremely nice, patient and helpful. The room was beautiful spacious and well-organized. The bathroom was very convenient. The entire hotel is new well-organized and designed to serve the gusts which gives you a wonderful stay. Breakfast was amazing, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place.

I had a problem to connect the Wifi from my cell phone but in the computer it worked great (do probably my problem). To reach Amsterdam city center you take a shuttle to the airport and a train. A bit of a hustle but after you get used to, it is not so bad.

Bad bed and very solf pillows

Breakfast was well serviced and very good food, the overall quality and service of the hotel was excellent but the bed was far too soft and the pillows were even softer which I do not like.

There was a tentparty across the street on night between Sat-Sun. Noisy till midnight, DJ must be deaf. No points for the lunch menu flavours.

Very good food. Nice, friendly staff. Both restaurant and Reception. Large and very good beds. Same with Bathroom. A really great stay. Quiet.

Full Shuttle Minicab. Not too friendly or helpful driver. (Was in front of que on arrival, but went back og cab to place luggage). A brisk No from driver, and cab was full. A friendly fellow passenger called Reception for a Taxi. Yes but Taxi never arrived. Rest of the stay the Shuttle Bus was great.

The best part of staying ar Steigenberger is the people working there. Always smiling, helpful and ready to solve any problem. The location is also great, with the Amsterdamse Bos just outside the door. The rooms are delicate and clean, and the sportcenter with the sauna and swimmimgpool makes the day perfect.

Some of the chairs in the breakfast area desperatly needs to be changed. It looks like they have the ten-year old menu on the upholstery. They really do not fit in to this hotel

“My tip: Rent a bike at the hotell, and explore the area. Picnic in the Amsterdamse Bos and dinner in a local restaurant near by. The Meerzicht is a good choice, for just a beer next to the canal, or a dinner in the evening. Or the Pelikan, if you want a real local place.”

Steinberger versus expectations from prior Hotel Dorint

Luckily, Steinberger has kept the comfortable beds and warm colors as under Hotel Dorint. The cocktail was even better.

Convenient but guest rooms need updating.

Shuttle service to/from airport is excellent.

Standard twin rooms are somewhat dated and in need of updating. Restaurant service was slow.
