Surroundings
City Hotel Tilburg is an ideal starting point for exploring Tilburg. You can visit the Textile Museum, for instance. Across from the hotel lies the city square De Heuvel, with its beautiful fountains and cosy terraces. The most important shopping street, the Heuvelstraat also ends here. Within walking distance are many restaurants, bars, cinemas, the theatre of Tilburg and the Midi theatre. De Efteling theme park and Safaripark Beekse Bergen are also well worth visiting during a stay at the City Hotel.

A few minutes walk from the station and close to lots of bars and restaurants. I was in Tilburg for a show at the 013 which is literally just round the corner.
The downside to being close to the bars is that it is very noisy until 3 or 4 in the morning.
“My tip: Well placed for the town centre and 013 music venue but be aware that there could be a lot of noise from outside the hotel for most of the night.”

I stayed here for three nights while attending an academic conference at the University of Tilburg, and will definitely stay here again when I return to Tilburg in the future. Everything about this hotel is great--nice, clean rooms, helpful Dutch staff, excellent buffet breakfast, and a quick walk to the train station. I arrived very early in the morning, well before check-in time, but they found a room for me to occupy, and invited me to have breakfast on the house.

Side windows in bedrooms should be repaired.Perhaps tea and coffee facilities on offer in bedrooms.

Hotel is adjacent to a very loud club and a church with bells that ring at all hours. It is only suitable for very sound sleepers. Because of the noise, I would not stay there again.

Very good location. Comfortable beds.
To warm temperature in the room (not any cooling system) and not possible to have the windows open in night time depending of the traffic noise.

Room very clean, tidy and well presented.
Location for restaurants is good.
No Air conditioning (Room was very hot)
Lack of parking.
Elevator in poor and unsafe condition with broken light fitting and exposed electrical wires.
