Hotel
Star Lodge is a design hotel with eighty Double Rooms and five Single Rooms. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Utrecht. The terms hospitality, quality and relaxation are particularly characteristic of the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible thanks to its location near exit roads, and there is a bus stop directly in front of the door (bus 53 from the Central Station). Plus various walking and cycling paths will quickly lead you to Utrecht's historic centre.
The hotel offers eighty Double Rooms and five Single Rooms. The rooms are 21 m² and feature a walk-in shower, a toilet, a spacious high-quality bed and a 32-inch smart television. Free high-speed fibre optic Internet is available throughout the entire building. Sustainability and CO2 reduction were given high priority during the construction and development phases. The use of LED lighting, energy saving switches, water conservation, waste management and sustainable building materials all contribute to this.
Surroundings
Its location near the city park means that there are many opportunities for walking and recreation on your doorstep. If you walk from the Star Lodge Hotel along the Biltsestraatweg and the Biltsestraat, you'll soon encounter Utrecht's historic city centre with its canals, wharfs, countless lovely shops and vibrant nightlife. The Dom Tower, the Dutch Railway Museum and the Stadsschouwburg theatre all lie within a 2-kilometre radius of the hotel.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served on Monday to Friday between 06:30 and 10:00, and at weekends between 07:00 and 11.00. Enjoy a drink on one of the outdoor terraces, by the fireplace or in the lounge. The bar is open from 12:00 until 23:00. You can have a lunch or dinner at the next-door Restaurant Loft, Brasserie Vink, or at the nearby restaurants Vlonders and Goesting.

I liked breakfast. Although I like walking, it is good to know that busses passing in front of the hotel go to the train station through the city center.
Starting from the second night, there was a strange smell which I couldn t find where it was originated. But informing the reception, they noted and promised to deal with it. There are restaurants around, but you must go to city center for fast food.

Exceptional value - good breakfast, spacious room, helpful staff and good local eateries. Based in parkland with red squirrels, lots of birds and quiet - great nights sleep - easy access to road network but also easy access by bus into town. Easy parking and access to rental bikes.
On outskirts of town but great if you have a car and need to access motorways and want to travel

The price quality ratio is excellent. The personnel is nice and helpful. Possibilities to rent bicycles for a good price. Quiet rooms.
The breakfast is a bit limited but definitely ok.

plus point for the naturalistic landscapes close to the hotel and at the same time next to the center of the city ....a working bus line makes so comfortable moving from and to the hotel

Location is actually good, very easy access to city center with many buses right in front of the hotel. Property seems new, so new furniture etc.
Even if it is out of the center, it is actually quite noisy. The property sits together with a horse training camp, and everyday around 18 00 a tractor goes around the track cleaning, for almost 1hr... needless to say, impossible to get some rest before going out for dinner. Also, breakfast room is not sufficient for the amount of people...

The Hotel is in a great location, offering good transport links from the door, or you can choose (as we did) to stroll in to Utrecht. We found the Hotel to be immaculately clean and well finished with great attention to detail. The Hotel makes the most of the space in your room by cutting down on things like a mini bar or trouser press.
