Hotel de Karsteboom- De Wilde Kriek is situated on the edge of Valkenburg aan de Geul, which is a mere 10-minute walk from the town centre. In the surroundings there are numerous attractions for a fun day such as a toboggan run, exploring a cave and trip on a steam train.

Hotel de Karsteboom- De Wilde Kriek is located in Valkenburg, a lively town in the province of Limburg which is fun for all ages. You can for instance pay a visit to the ruins of a castle and the underneath cave Fluweelengrot. The thermal baths of Thermae 2000 offer you a world of relaxation. Children will certainly enjoy themselves in the fairy tale theme park Sprookjesbos, or in the exciting toboggan run and cableway near the tower Wilhelminatoren.

Very hospitable owner and the service is extremely helpful and personal.
I was made to feel very welcome.Everything is clean and efficient and the breakfast was very good.Although on the main road I had a rear room so sleeping there was no disturbance.All in all very good value for money and much better than many other higher priced hotels.
Parking during the holidays could be a problem , when more tourists arrive as there is no hotel carpark.Ten minutes walk from the centre of town apart from that a very good place.

The hotel was clean and modest, just what I wanted. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in for a while. The host was very helpful, far more than he neeed to be. He booked my next accomdation for me, then printed out a map to get there.
Car parking could be difficult.

The proprietor was ever-so-friendly and helpful. He even tracked me down at a trade show to bring me shoes that he thought I left behind. A lovely little budget hotel that is clean and easily accessible from the center of Valkenburg.

I would recommend this hotel. Very friendly and helpfull personell who make the stay enjoyable; rooms neat & tidy; never experienced a cleaner bathroom in a hotel.
Breakfast is super! Freshly baked bread, eggs, fruit, juice, etc. Service at the table.
Only minor points: I personally prefer the matrasses on the bed to be a bit less soft.
Rooms are not very large, but this is not really a problem if you stay for short holiday. The location is a bit away from the railway station/Valkenburg centre (10-15 minutes walk).
