Hotel
Parkhotel Valkenburg is a delightful hotel owing to its location, private car park, fantastic facilities and an excellent restaurant. What's particularly special about this hotel is that it was designed by the famous Dutch architect Cuypers. Staff are at the ready to make sure you have a wonderfully relaxing break. While staying at the Parkhotel Valkenburg, you can enjoy luxurious facilities in a beautiful setting. Put on your walking shoes or hop on a bike and discover the roots around Valkenburg. Or explore the centre where you can visit the castle ruins and the Gemeentegrot cave.
The hotel's single and double rooms all come with an en-suite bathroom with a bath and/or shower, a toilet and a hair dryer. Each room features a television, a radio, a sitting area and a safe. The hotel also offers free WiFi and room service (at an additional charge). A Lazy Afternoon (check-out at 17:00) is possible on request.
The spa at Parkhotel Valkenburg offers plenty of ways to relax, with a sauna and a swimming pool with a sun terrace, a Turkish steam bath and a whirlpool. All of which are free for hotel guests. A range of massages are possible on request. The hotel offers bike hire and there is a gym. Due to renovation of the building, scaffolding will be in place in front of the hotel until 16 April 2020. The balcony rooms can therefore be used to a limited extent.
Surroundings
It's for good reason that Valkenburg is one of South Limburg's main tourist attractions. It is famous for its castle ruins and marl caves. The Wilhelminatoren watch-tower and the Roman catacombs are also worth visiting. Valkenburg has developed into a well-known health resort, thanks to Thermae 2000, situated at the top of the Cauberg. You can explore the surroundings of Parkhotel Valkenburg during a walk or bike ride. And a trip to Maastricht, Aachen or Liège is also easy to accomplish.
Food and Drink
An extensive breakfast buffet is served on weekdays from 07:30 until 10:30, and at weekends from 07:30 until 11:00. Guests can also have breakfast in their rooms, at an additional charge. You can enjoy lunch and dinner in the excellent restaurant, which serves Dutch/French cuisine and good wines. You can also relax in the sun room, or on the outdoor terrace and enjoy the panoramic view. The kitchen is open daily from 12:00 until 20:30.

Goede kamers en prima ontbijtbuffet
Het hotel is wat gedateerd qua inrichting. Een nieuw behangetje zou geen kwaad kunnen

Location was very good. Rooms looked nice.
Our room was next to the elevator that gave a lot of noise in the morning when people where waiting in groups to get either in or out. Toiletpaper holders were not within reach when you were actually on the toilet.
