DV Groep Bed and Breakfast Volendam is located in the heart of the picturesque former-Zuiderzee town of Volendam. This small guesthouse is a pleasant surprise in the centre. This typical Volendam building offers seven bright and airy rooms on the top floor. The ground floor features an ambient Italian restaurant, Dolce Vita. The guesthouse has a lively, cosy atmosphere, which is also partly thanks to its Italian host who likes to make sure everyone feels at ease. The guesthouse's small-scale also makes it easy to get acquainted with other guests.
Surroundings
DV Groep Bed and Breakfast Volendam is within walking distance of the old fishing port of Volendam with its authentic fishing boats and historic façades. Along the embankment you can look in the many tourist shops. If you'd like to take a boat trip, you can take the daily ferry to the island of Marken in the Markermeer lake. This service runs from mid-March until the end of October, and is certainly a worthwhile experience due to the island's picturesque scenery and the traditional costumes worn there. A bike ride through beautiful nature areas such as Waterland and Purmer will lead you through quaint villages such as Kwadijk, Middelie and De Rijp.
Food and Drink
Breakfast is served daily in the breakfast area from 07:30 until 09:00. Guests can take a seat in the downstairs restaurant from 13:00 onwards to enjoy a delicious lunch, and later in the day an Italian dinner. Restaurant La Dolce Vita serves original Italian cuisine; the owners of the restaurant are Italian. Good pizzas and pastas, a variety of soups and salads and several meat specialities grace the menu. A tasty and fun experience. The restaurant is open until 22:00.

Friendly, helpful staff, nice modern room in a traditional style building.
Rooms over a restaurant (though we did not find this a problem on a quiet midweek stay)

Great Location by the water. Quaint village atmosphere. Close to the sea and canals. Easy driving or busing. The room was very clean/contemporary. The proprietor was very pleasant and the pizza in his restaurant below (which was part of the establishment) was terrific. Good pricing. Went back for pizza twice!
We had the front of building 3 bed suite. Noisy at night from the street traffic. The window blinds would not go up.

Freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück - gute Pizzeria !!
Hinweis am Gebäude zu Bed and Breakfast fehlen. Man muss lange suchen, erfährt erst im Lokal, dass man am richtigen Ort ist. Im Bad fehlen Handtuchhalter oder Haken.
In einigen Schlafzimmern gibt es keine Fenster zum öffnen.
