    A night in an owen

    Location close to woods.

Old-fashioned décoration, a shabby bathroom which definitely requires cleaning if not redoing. Very basic breakfast, in need of professional coaching...

    mooi gelegen.

teveel verkeerslawaai. Maak er 30 km wegen van de wegen welke aan 2 zijden van het hotel passeren.

“My tip: enjoy your time seeing the surroundings”

    Far from the madding crowds

If you like a cosy hotel in the middle of the woods far from the madding crowds, then this is the place for you. The "superior room" was clean and bed was very comfortable. Restaurant had a very nice set menu with dear and wild pig on it. Autumn is a beautiful time of year to visit.

A little pricey. The meals and bike rental basically doubled the cost of the stay. Also, if you want a choice of restaurants within walking distance, this is not the place for you. The nearest sauna complex is about 30 mins drive away in Veenendaal.

“My tip: Hoge Veluwe is about a 90 minute bike ride away (20 mins by car), and is a 'must-visit'.”

Very beautiful surroundings close to Wageningen.

Very beautiful surroundings of a forest, lounge and bar area. The room cleaning staff do an excellent job. Free and easy to access wireless broadband. The hotel rents out bicycles at a very cheap price to get to town about 15 minutes away.

The evening food menu is limited to either a three course meal or a small choice of fairly expensive main courses. As a business traveller, a small menu of burger, pasta, entrecote or equally standard meals would have been great. Luckily such meals are readily available in Wageningen town.

Good old fashioned Dutch style, serving good food.

Old fashioned Dutch, pleasant seating areas to sit with drink and relax or chat with friends. Set in beautiful woodland area although close to amenities, Wageningen centre close by with lovely town square full of shops and eating places. Very comfortable beds. Lots of room in the family room.

The bedroom decor a little dated but clean. Some artwork on the bedroom walls would have softened the atmosphere.

    Beautiful area but worn rooms

Beautiful surroundings (in a forest). The restaurant is fantastic. The staff is very helpful & friendly.

Although the room was clean it was also old and worn. The terrace door did not close well.
