Residentie Dicht bij Zee is an excellent choice for a relaxing break on the West Frisian Island of Terschelling. Enjoy a walk through the nearby nature area of De Boschplaat, with its dunes, mud flats and beaches. Along the way you may very well spot birds such as the spoonbill and the tern, or perhaps even a seal. And why not spend a lovely day cycling through the dunes and villages?

From the ferry terminal in West-Terschelling you can travel by car, bus or (hired) bike to Residentie Dicht bij Zee; it's only 13 kilometres to Oosterend. The ferry to the island will get you in the holiday mood, which will only be enhanced by the accommodation's surroundings. Take a lovely walk across the North Sea beach (2 km away), and enjoy the nature reserve of De Boschplaat (500 metres away).
