The location in a beautiful nature reserve along the 'Oude Maas' river makes Hotel ARA Zwijndrecht an ideal accommodation to enjoy peace and quiet. However, one can also easily reach the historic centre of Dordrecht and the vibrant city of Rotterdam. The surroundings offer a range of recreational activities, such as hiking tours and bicycle trips.
After an active day guests can kick back in the hotel. A fitness room, swimming pool and a sauna are available for free. The hotel also has a solarium which can be used at an additional charge. The hotel has a contemporary interior and spacious rooms, which are equipped with amenities such as a telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, WiFi Internet and a bathroom with a separate shower. The café and the spacious restaurant offer a nice view of the river. The enthousiastic kitchen team and friendly staff create a nice atmoshpere during lunch and dinner. I did not realize that the breakfast buffet was euro 16.50 pp extra. Not to bad for me but very expensive for the few little donuts that my granddaughter ate

Beautiful hotel...lovely, comfortable rooms and baths. Good food in dining room.
Cost of internet is too high. Also, a la cart breakfast item should be offered in dining room. Not everyone wants to eat a huge buffet breakfast in the morning and pay 15 euros for it.

we hadden een fantastische tijd in uw hotel. Wij wonen in Engeland en hebben echt genoten van het hotel. Mijn family woont in Rotterdam zo het was leuk om iedereen weer te ontmoeten in het hotel. Wij waren daar om mijn moeder d\'r 80e verjaardag te vieren in de Palm. Het hotel is aan te bevelen. bedankt.

Staff at the hotel are very helpful, professional beyond the call of duty. The menue in the restaurant has improved substantially since our last stay last year. The location remains great, close to shopping and cultural facilities yet far enough from the beaten track to have an almost rural setting overlooking an always busy water way.

rooms are large, clean with excellent bathrooms. we asked for 2 rooms together as we were travelling with children, got two rooms with connecting door. Brilliant. reception booked restaurant for us that was excellent.

The pool was great,also the sauna, because the hotel itself is outside in the countryside of Zwijndrecht close by the water, so we still could do something.
People from the reception had been very nice and friendly.
The rooms have been great. Huge bathrooms and nice sized rooms to stay at.
They had a huge christmas party Friday nite - so the bar was closed and due the fact that the hotel was in the countryside and nothing else you could go to, because our children have been sleeping in the hotel room, that was very boring.
Service at breakfast was very limited. At least your coffee or tea could be served at the table.

Superb location, clean, efficient with slightly cool, but efficient staff.
The Ara benefits mainly from formal business clientele, however I would have liked to have seen a secondary, slightly less formal, family friendly eating environment.
