At the Kunsthal in Rotterdam you can see culture in the broadest sense: design, photography, ancient and modern art. Take a tour along fascinating photographs, old masters, contemporary art and forgotten cultures. Because the Kunsthal has 3300m2 of exhibition space at its disposal, there are always several exhibitions on display.
The building housing the Art Hall is in itself an attraction. It was designed by Rem Koolhaas and serves not only as an exhibition space but also as a traffic intersection. In the building runs a diagonal slope, bridging the 6m height difference. Under this is a service road. This also forms the exit as well as the entrance to the museum park for any passers by who are not visiting the Kunsthal.
