During your stay in Hotel Hegra City Centre you can enjoy the typical Amsterdam canals and beautiful buildings. The cozy neighborhood De Jordaan is located nearby. Some side streets of the canal Herengracht belongs to the area 9 Straatjes (9 streets), known for its many boutiques and restaurants. The Anne Frank House, the famous Dam Square, Kalverstraat and the Magna Plaza shopping center are within walking distance.
Food and Drink
The breakfast buffet is available daily from 08:00 to 10:00. The hotel has no restaurant or bar. Along the street Spuistraat and in the area Jordaan you can have an excellent lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants. Also there are nice cafes nearby.

Really fresh! The room was nice and clean, the hotel gives the impression to have been refurbish quite recently. The beds was quite new and the bathroom great. Hotel breakfast is basic but quite sufficient and at a reasonable price (6,5 EUR).
I would totally recommend this hotel to a friend who wants to see Amsterdam.
The rooms are small and there is no elevator, but hey! it´s Amsterdam so what to expect?
The hotel is located a few minutes walk from town square. But if you are fully capable of walking and using stairs, it will not be a problem.
However, if you travel in purpose to mostly stay at the hotel, pick one of the bigger with spa, gym etc.
