Hotel

Although the hotel is by all means impressive, it is also homely and atmospheric, due to the interior design by the world-famous designer Jacques Garcia. In true professional fashion, Garcia has combined a stately neo-classical style with the exuberance of the Napoleon III style thus creating a unique and unforgettable accommodation. The characteristic interior design has also made its way into the hotel rooms, from the elaborate patterns to the fine fabrics and the various art objects.

The hotel's facilities more than live up to the best expectations. The luxury marble bathrooms have a bath/shower and a toilet. Thhe rooms are equipped with satellite television, multiple telephone lines, a trouser press, safe, minibar, and air-conditioning. In addition, guests can use the internet, a laundry service, 24-hour room service, and a private parking garage with valet service.

The Warwick Barsey Hotel is also an excellent destination for business travellers. The hotel has five conference rooms that are perfectly suited for business lunches, meetings, or receptions. These rooms can seat up to 75 persons and can be provided with modern audiovisual equipment like beamers, plasma screens, ADSL, DVD players, and flip overs.

This area dates from the Middle Ages: the Ter Kameren Abbey can still be visited. Great little boutique hotel but extremely overpriced breakfast

The lady at the reception desk was wonderful. Very efficient and very pleasant. She provided us with a cot as soon as I asked for it for our son as well as some with information on transportation services to the Charleroi airport. She also told us when our cousin arrived which was very thoughtful of her. She is a great asset. She looked Spanish. Unfortunately I do not have her name. The breakfast area next morning looked very elegant and clean. The hotel was attractive but looked a bit dark and tired looking in the entrance area. I would have more lighting.

Construction workers were in the bar area when we arrived, just past the reception desk, and there was a large white sheet on the ground so it put us off a bit. We were releived to see that they had left the next day when we went for coffee. Luckily we checked our bill upon leaving as we had been charged for the breakfast we had not taken. Bathroom floor looked dirty (stains)and the tiles were loose. The low shower was not at all satisfactory. It was difficult trying to keep it from falling off the hook. We found the breakfast EXTREMELY expensive so just ordered a coffee which was also very expensive at 5 euros each. We went to the Express store down the road and for 6 euros purchased a large bottle of freshly squeezed orange juice and 4 delicious croissants and pains au chocolat. That worked out to 2 euros each as opposed to 27 euros each!

Very nice reception by the lady at the desk. My wife and I were upgraded as she is pregnant. I would definitely recommend the hotel which was very comfortable and the staff we met were all very polite. The location is excellent.
