Hotel

Located on the Duquesnoystraat in Brussels, the Royal Windsor Hotel is only 200 metres away from the world-famous Grand Place (Central Market) and Central Station. With all the attractions of the historic inner city within walking distance, the hotel combines a central location with a wealth of comfortable amenities and services.

The hotel has a total of 266 wonderfully decorated rooms. The Classic rooms all have air conditioning, double-pane windows, and an adjustable thermostat. The rooms are also equipped with a minibar, a trouser press, two telephones, a flat-screen television with cable- and sattelite channels, a safe, and an Internet connection. The marble private bathrooms are furnished with a toilet and a bath/shower and offer a hairdryer, an enlarging mirror, beauty products by Carven, a bathrobe, and slippers. The professional maid service will make sure that your room is tidied twice a day and provide you with the special turndown service you may expect from a luxury hotel. In addition, the hotel also offers Premium and Premium Deluxe Rooms; these rooms are even more spaciously decorated and have added luxury services.

If you wish to relax after a meeting or a day of sightseeing in Brussels, the hotel has much more to offer. For example, hotel guests can use the fitness centre or sauna for free; on request, you can also get a professional massage. It is also possible to use the laundry and drycleaning facilities, or the babysitting service. Such unique facilities will help you make your stay in Brussels unforgettable.

Surroundings

The hotel is located on the Duquesnoystraat, near Central Station (less than 200 metres) and the Grand Place (200 metres). On the latter location you may admire, among other things, the City Hall of Brussels, the Broodhuis (a former bread trade centre) and the many 18th century guild houses. Of course this central market also boasts many lively cafés and restaurants and outdoor terraces. At approximately 700 metres from the hotel you will also find the Brussels Park (public gardens) and the Royal Palace. With such a central location in the city the hotel is also close to many (renowned) restaurants and other dining facilities.

Food and Drink

In the morning the hotel serves an American breakfast buffet in the Salon Grand Place on the ground floor of the hotel. For an extensive meal or lunch the hotel has a wide array of possibilities. For starters, the Chutney's bar-restaurant has a large selection of savory dishes and cocktails. The colonial atmosphere of the interior, the trendy music, and the international clientèle make this not only a stylish but also a friendly destination for those who want to enjoy a good meal. Chutney's is open 7 days a week. Finally, guests who like to dance may enjoy the Duke's Nightclub. In short, in the Royal Windsor Hotel there is nothing that will stand in the way of having an unforgettable evening. Apart from the many choices of bars and restaurants in this hotel the Royal Windsor also offers 24-hour room service.

    Where are the 5 stars?

Excellent location: Right in the middle of the center. Own parking. Courteous, helpful and friendly staff

Not worthy of a FIVE star rating, the rooms are old, paint comes off of the doors, lamp shades are ripped. Rooms are rather small and poorly furnished. Thinking that the normal rate for their standard room is 500 EURO a night ; that is a regular joke. The air conditioning did not work properly; the room temperature was way too high. Any hotel that claims to be 5 ***** should live up to that standard. This hotel would, in our opinion, not get more than 3 *** maximum, and we are being nice here !!!!

Good Hotel let down by outrageous peripheral service prices.

Room was nice size, pleasently quiet. Evening meal was excellent and staff very friendly. Good location for Grand Plaz if that's what you want.

I dislike having to pay for wi-fi in a 4*+ Hotel, especially when 3* and less provide for free. You wouldn't expect to pay extra for electricity would you? Its like an underhand extra charge. Hotel car park fee is also much higher than nearby commercial parking, plus its a narrow spiral staircase to carry your bags up three floors to reception! At 29Euro had breakfast somewhere else!

    I will definitely stay again.

Excellent location for all your Brussels needs. 50 meters away was the square to watch the new years fireworks (the main reaason we picked this hotel). The room was neat and comfortable. It has the best shower ever. A big plus is they have parking that is actually in the hotel (not down the block). Be aware that parking is limited, narrow, and I you may have to park yourself. I think there is a valet, but he was being lazy. The parking cost is 25 Euro per day, not 20.

Breakfast was a too expensive for a buffet. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat so I if you plan to eat at the hotel, I recommend everyone to go down to the breakfast room early. If they add items like made to order omletes, steak, etc, it would be worth the money, but I recommend you go to one of the many cafe\'s right around the corner for a comparable breakfast at half the price.

THE PRICE OF THE HOTEL PARKING IS NOT 20 EUROS FOR ONE DAY LIKE YOU WRITE IN MY CONFIRMATION, BUT IT WAS 25 EUROS FOR 1 DAY... I PAYED FOR 1 DAY AND 11h23\'\' 47 EUROS FOR THE PARKING..... I THIS IT IS SO MUCH.....

The hotel was beautiful, conveniently located, and a delicious place to spend a few nights.

It was very busy when we arrived and our room wasn\'t ready yet. However the staff took good care of us & worked something out.

    Close to Grand Place.

Twin beds on weels, they move easy, not good. Aircondition not working (20 degrees outside, 26 degrees inside). Had expected a bigger and better room. Really not a five star, I will not return to this hotell. Stayed at a 4 star hotel for half the price, with much better service and comfort. I would recommend to find another hotel.

The location is a major plus, located just steps from the city center. But equally important, the excellent rooms and service make this hotel our choice for Brussels.

We found nothing negative from our stay at the hotel.

Nice hotel with nightclub in good location.

They hotel attempted to charge us a higher price than we had booked for, it took a little bit of convincing for them to correct the price. Mini bar was a total rip off, 5.5 euro for bottle of water that was 29 cents in shop next door.

Very nice location. Good room with nice TV.

The price of the breakfast and mini bar is much, much to high. Many mistakes by making up the bill. Trouble with carparking and paying the fee.
