Hotel Kogerstaete Texel is the right choice if you are looking for a child-friendly hotel with a homely atmosphere. The friendly host and hostess create an informal atmosphere ensuring a pleasant stay. Guests will easily feel at home in this hotel.
You can follow a beautiful cycling route near the hotel. A bike hire company is closeby. Walking enthusiasts will certainly enjoy a walk through the woods, dunes and along the beach. The hotel is conveniently located, offering many opportunities for day trips, for instance to the Ecomare Sealife Centre. In front of the hotel is a bus stop. There are also various nice restaurants and bars in the seaside resort of De Koog.
Surroundings
If you would like to learn more about nature on the Wadden islands, you can go on a Wadden excursion. The Ecomare centre in De Koog is very informative and is certainly worth a visit. In its bird and seal sanctuary, you can watch how the seals are fed between 11:00 and 15:00. The Mient Funfarm in Den Hoorn is a nostalgic farm/playground with karts, swings, trampolines and a merry-go-round. There are also animals such as peacocks, pigs, geese, goats, a donkey and rabbits.

De suite was heerlijk ruim(55m2 ) en licht. Aangenaam en niet opdringerig ingericht. Slaap- en badkamer resp. comfortabel en ruim. Geen geluiden van buiten(nacht). Personeel is vriendelijk en servicegericht. Ontbijtservice is uitgebreid en prima. Ontbijttijd is goed tussen half negen en half elf
Als iedereen tegelijk komt voor het ontbijt is de ruimte wel gevuld
“My tip: Uit eten bij Quinty is goede keus ( zeg daar dat je van Kogerstaete komt dan kun je korting krijgen bij diner) en paviljoen 20 èn Paal 21 zijn mooie plekken om de tijd aangenaam te besteden. Ook prima uitgangspunt voor fiets- en wandeltochten.”
