The streets of Valkenburg are characterized by historic buildings, shops and cosy restaurants, terraces and the 'Geul' river. Hotel Scheepers has a picturesque and quiet location, close to nature but also to the historic centre of Valkenburg. The beautiful surrounding landscape can be explored by car, bicycle or on foot.
The hotel has a cosy bar and two sun terraces. The hotel offers modern rooms with comfortable box-spring beds and modern bathrooms. In the private and secure car parking next to the hotel cars or bicycles can be parked at a charge. The centre and a bus stop are just a 2-minute walk from the hotel and the train station is only 5 minutes away.
Surroundings
Valkenburg is known for the kilometres long underground system of corridors. A visit to the various caves is recommended. In the southern part of the province of Limburg are hundreds of restored castles. Other attractions in the vicinity of Hotel Scheepers are the spa 'Thermae 2000' and the ruins of a fortress.

Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff.
Very clean.
A good location near the centre but quiet.

The mattress on the bed was quite soft. I liked it but my husband did not find it so comfortable.
Window of our room looked onto a roof and the extractor from the kitchen. This could be a problem in summer if you wanted to have the window open. Room was quite narrow with not much space between the end of the bed and the wall.
“My tip: The castle is not to be missed. Valkenburg is very lively on a Saturday night and there seem to be attractions for all ages in the area.”

Great variety for breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Location was perfect, 2 mins walk from the nearest shop and 5 mins from the town centre. Although close to town it was in a very quiet area. Plenty of secure car park space to the rear. The owners even offered to put my motorbike into their garage for safe keeping. We would certainly use it again.

The hotel is in a lovely off the main street location. Quiet during the day. Easy walk to everything in town. Lovely breakfast.
Valkenburg is doing major work on lots of roads in town now. It will be wonderful when they are finished.

The hotel is situated perfectly for the town and you are in the heart of the town but yet have no noice problems. The hotel is very clean and the room was serviced daily. Also there was a good choice of quality breakfast items available daily.
“My tip: This is a great hotel and the staff are very welcoming. Everything you want for a short stay. There is no need to worry if you do not speak Dutch as the staff speak very good English.”

The hotel was clean with an extensive breakfast menu,and staff were attentive,the hotel was very central to the town, with quite a few shops, restaurants and bars. The Christmas markets were of a high standard and reasonable priced, we liked the fact of being able to purchase tickets for the markets at the tourist information office, this saves a lot of queuing ,and a plus for disabled people.

excellent value for money the staff were really welcoming, maud and Leon were most helpful and nothing was too much trouble they made us feel very welcome their english was really good and certasinly better than my dutch! infact all the staff were reallynice abd friendly. the rooms were clean and spacio and very comfortable. breakfast was excellent and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone they will not be disappointed.
