Kristel was very friendly and helpful, giving us some great tips for sightseeing - nothing was too much trouble; Location was great, pretty and convenient. Accommodation was really good too. We enjoyed the freedom of having the keys to our own studio. We got to see the real Amsterdam which would not have happened if we had stayed in a hotel. Would definitely go back again
Having a bit more light would be good due to it being a basement studio, but everything else was perfect
“My tip: Uggi Italian Restaurant Cafe Van Beeren - for a great steak Bibliotheque - for a nice light lunch with a great roof top view”

Fantastic central location but is a very friendly quiet district.
On-street parking is permitted directly outside the window.
“My tip: Great bars for music, food and hanging out are only a 100 meters away at Niewmarket.”

Excellent. Wouldn't bother looking anywhere else! I had the studio apartment for a week and it felt like a home almost instantly. Hosts are lovely and offer great advice on restaurants etc. Also, location is perfect - a stones throw from lively square of bars & restaurants (a less touristy area) and yet in a very quiet side road, giving a good nights sleep.
“My tip: Haesje Claes - other side of town but a traditionally Dutch restaurant with lots of Dutch options - huge portions, varied menu, all delicious. If you like Thai, Me Naam naan is just around the corner (lovely food, frosty service!) just opposite Newmarkt metro station - as is a quirky looking Italian restaurant that I didn't have the chance to try...”

Great location, short walk from centraal station and right next to metro stop. Plenty bars and restaurants nearby but street outside is very quiet.
Very steep steps might be difficult for some. No garden or outdoor space.
“My tip: Cafe Gerrit van beer ”

The hostess is great. First moment we arrived, we talked for about an hour and she treated us with wine and told us everything about Amsterdam. The studio, where we stayed in, is very cosy, romantic and when you live there you can really feel the spirit of old Amsterdam, though very convenient Amsterdam. If you look for not-chain hotel stay, this is the perfect place. It is very close to any sight and has a lot of nice restaurants very close.
“My tip: Visit Cafe Bern - wonderful fondue (Holland style)!”

Wonderful hosts. Exceptional, warm and caring hospitality. The B&B is in the heart of downtown. We lived in a large, cozy one-room apartment in a 1700s building, but with all modern facilities. The place gives a real sense of living as an Amsterdam-citizen. And the historical house with its own charm and atmosphere is a unique experience in itself. Our stay couldn't have been better.

Fantastic wee studio, plenty of room to move about, We stayed here for 5 days and didn't get frustrated at the lack of space as you do in many European hotels. The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to everything but in a quiet and nice area. Christel was so friendly she made us feel at home in her city and gave us large volumes of information about the place, what to do and what to avoid. She made us feel like we had a friend in a city we had never been to before.
PLUS POINTS CONTINUED: the studio we stayed in had its own entrance as it was in the basement which was great because we could come and go as we pleased! The kitchen is well equipped and there is a supermarket very near by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and i know for sure we will defiantly be back hopefully sooner rather than later. Minus points (kind of) As its a basement the lighting isnt fantastic! But it didnt bother me personally. The double bed is two singles pushed togeth
“My tip: If you stay here listen to Christels recommendations! The restaurant she suggested around the corner was not only rather cheap but also outstandingly delicious and friendly! If you go to Amsterdam avoid the sex museum and cannabis museum in the red light district, complete waste of money! Hop on hop off canal and bus tour also was a waste of money as i found it wasnt very informative and they kept advertising attractions they obviously owned/worked with.”

excellent location - close to all the amenities but in a quiet side street so no noise. Really good quality accommodation with all the facilities that were needed for a very comfortable stay. Very friendly and welcoming owners that provided extremely useful information about Amsterdam.

as usual for a B & B there are many helpful hints from the owners - this was great. The owner was very friendly and accomodated our every need. The house was spotless and it was lovely to stay at a original Dutch city home. It was great having two large rooms and full access to the kitchen. The house was very convenient to the train station, with easy access to the rest of the city.
The only thing I could say is that the stairs are step and narrow and it would be very difficult for older people or dangerous for couples with small children.

Brilliant host, excellent studio and in a very quiet area of Amsterdam. The location is fantastic too as it easy to walk to attractions from there and there's a supermarket about 500 metres away in Nieuwmarkt. Very happy with our stay. Thanks Christel.

Very friendly owner, with plenty of information both oral and brochures etc. A very quiet area of a city the size of Amsterdam
Perhaps a word about the steep staircase which for some people may find it difficult. Need a towel rail as the towel are not changed daily and no fan in bathroom which mists the mirror.

The location is really good. No question about it. The amenities are good, the bed comfortable, the bath nice, and downstairs is great too. Overall a nice place to stay.
No breakfast. We stayed in the bed and breakfast room and we were served no breakfast. The hostess was in Spain and another gentleman was helping her. The cash only part was really sort of bush league too. They took a credit card for my reservation but not for payment. I would recommend the place for sure but really no breakfast? Cook it yourself? Fantastic place right in the centre of Amsterdam, will definitely be staying there again. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly hosts.

Well-equipped kitchen, helps save some money in an expensive city. Floor heating is cosy, even though at times off at night. Internet works well and is included in the price. New towel supply as needed. Freshfruit upon arrival plus a bottle of a Lambrusco-like sparkling drink. Small but cosy table corner. Friendly and helpful caretakers - did not meet the owners themselves. In terms of Amsterdam options: Real value for money, slightly more room than in most places, excellent location - recommended.
Relatively dark in terms of natural light, practically sousterrain. Some nights slightly cool due to heating turning off (somewhat "automatically"?). 5% city tax as extra adds up quite a bit. Additional (3rd) bed is only a folding bed with 2 mattresses one on top of the other - not too friendly for the spine and not very stable.

Christel and Hans were very welcoming upon our arrival. Christel suggested lots of restaurants, places to see, things to do, etc. (One of the best Thai places....Little Thai Palace...very very good!) The downstairs suite was great! Own private room, bathroom, and small kitchen. I wish that we could have stayed longer to use the kitchen and it's amenities...maybe next time! The room was cozy and great! I will never stay at a hotel again in Amsterdam...bed and breakfast's are definitely the way to go!

An excellent position right in the centre, but in a lovely area with little noise at night. Our hosts were extremely helpful and have some wonderful suggestions for restaurants and activities.
The stairs would be a 'no no' for anyone with knee or hip problems ( but would probably be a problem all over Amsterdam)

Great location in the middle of the centre of Amsterdam - but a quiet place in a smaller street. We got a lot of tips by Christel which were very helpful and learned a lot about the Dutch culture.
