The staff at the desk were very helpful and friendly.
The room had dirt on the floor when we arrived and during our time there. It was enough that you felt it when you walked in bare feet of in your socks. The bathroom door was opaque and in the morning the light shining into the bathroom illuminated the entire room. The hallway carpets on the first floor were dirty as well.
“My tip: This hotel is still good but just needs a little extra attention to cleaning the rooms and surrounds. First impressions of Amsterdam were not very good as the streets were heavily littered in some areas. This may have been due to what appeared to be a lot of students on school break. ”

Good room, nice people at the desk. Felt like there is always someone there in case i needed anything. Good service.
No compfortable smoking zone, house keeping could'v been done a little bit better around the bed. extreamly overpriced meals
“My tip: Next to the hotel there is a very nice bar for drinks at the evening and a coffe shop that might interest them. :) Also, Muiderpoort train station is very close to the hotel so transportation is great.”

I am really happy with this hotel. Excellent service and comfortable rooms, except the TV didn't function for a couple of nights. The staff are friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“My tip: very convenient location using tram 9 to get to downtown and also only one block away from the train station.”

Very friendly, helpful front office and door staff. Made us feel wlecome, at home, even played with the children. Overall a surprisingly pleasant experience for our short stay! Thank you.
A la carte breakfast was not consistent from one day to the next. Eggs were not fresh off the a la carte memu. Fresh fruit was not served at all one day with the muslei.

Great location, rooms are well appointed and clean, 1 hr of free internet caters to the guest to check e-mails rather than the hotel trying to make more money, comfortable beds, quiet (especially the back of the hotel), great breakfast buffet, service was fine and the 'look' and feel of the hotel was fun. Great sense of place with all of the Ámsterdam touches'everywhere.
Shower is a little slippery (perhaps something to stand on as they have already attached a bar to hold on to but when you slip and fall there may not be time to figure out where to hold to catch your fall). Could be a potential liability for the hotel.

Great place to stay if you prefer a quiter, more restful stay as opposed to staying right downtown. It is only a 5 to 10 minute tram ride to anywhere you wish to go. Staff were friendly, outgoing and very helpful in assisting us to navigate the city. We would come back here any day.
On the first floor there was a conference going on at 9 am. At about 8 am people were talking very loudly outside our room for an hour waiting for conference to begin. If you prefer to sleep in recommend another floor or to be away from the conference rooms.

Helpful staff for things like transport info and where to eat
Hotels.nl suggest restaurant serves food til midnight, while in fact only serves til 10pm. Milo cafe down the road have some nice bar snacks :-) Bare minimum bathroom toiletries - a kit would have been useful fo people like us who missed their flight connection

Excellent design and very comfortable and efficient rooms. Great beds. Wifi good. Great staff - very courteous and professional.
TV channel selection poor. NO CNN???? No movie channels or capability for DVD's. Breakfast too expensive. Location not ideal for people needing to be in center of town.

Good location if in a car...cost of parking very reasonable by Amsterdam standards. The hotel is a little out from the centre, but excellent tram access from hotel. Also bikes at the hotel for rental at good rate. Hotel very comfortable and my daughter and I found everyone at the hotel very helpful.
None really--The two(!) TVs in the room were a little tempermental in their operation. Staff very quickly came to help.
