From here you can easily walk to the most famous of Amsterdam’s tourist attractions. The Central Station, the Royal Palace, Madame Tussauds, and the famous Red Light District are all less than 300 meters away from the Floris France Hotel. Moreover, the nearest metro station and bus station are as close as 20 meters, so that the hotel guests have an excellent connection to the remaining attractions of the city.
The Floris France Hotel is located in a historic building on a centrally located, yet quiet canal street. The well-maintained exterior breathes the atmosphere of the old city centre, and the modern interior is tastefully decorated. The rooms on the street side of the hotel have a beautiful view of the old canals. The hotel has 55 single, double, or triple rooms, each of which has its own bathroom, television, radio, and telephone. Right next to the hotel you may find the hotel’s own restaurant and an Irish pub, where you can enjoy our breakfast buffet in the morning.

Surroundings
The Floris France Hotel is situated on the 'Oudezijds Kolk', an old canal right outside Amsterdam’s 'Zeedijk' (former wall to protect the city from the sea). The Central Station is within walking distance, as are such tourist attractions as the 'Dam', the site of the Royal Palace and Madame Tussauds, the Red Light District, and landing stages for various tour boats. Other important attractions, such as the 'Museumplein' and the 'Leidseplein' are less than 10 minutes away by tram.

Excellent position for the trip we planned.
Hotel room was in poor condition, the website pictures are different. It was hard to tell if the room was just very old or dirty, the beds and towels were clean.

Excellent location in the Red Light District. Easy walk to Central Station.
Arrived on a Friday night at 9PM. NOBODY at front desk. Note said "Back in 10 minutes". Waited 45 MINUTES before ANYBODY showed up to check me in!
“My tip: This is a no-frills, basic hotel. Simple front desk and little else. Room is typical European small. A budget hotel for low budget travelers.”
