Great place for a short stay!

The place is very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nicely designed and renovated. Great bathroom, beautiful view, flowers everywhere. Many windows make the room bright and inviting. The owner is nice and friendly. Our son enjoyed the big TV. Kitchenette is well equipped to have breakfasts in.

Narrow and steep stairs make it hard to carry up luggage. Not much place to put clothes in. There is a rack with hangers but no drawers. Cooking anything more than eggs or pasta might be a challenge.

Advert was misleading - very cramped

Location was good

Advert was misleading - it was only a poorly converted cramped attic single room with toilet a couple of feet from the bed and no cupboards for clothes. OK for a very small person.

Disappointing

Comfortable bed, nice bright room. Not a central location but close to tram and peaceful neighbourhood

Service - our room was not serviced at all on our first day - the bed was not made, the towels were still damp (there was no where to hang them to dry). Also there was no wardrobe space in the room - just some hooks and hangers on the side of the kitchen cupboard. There was no information in the room - about the hotel, the neighbourhood, about Amsterdam - nothing. After reading the reviews of the "warm welcome", we did not see the owner, or indeed anybody, after the ten minutes it took us to check in on arrival.

Central situated expensive and simple equipped hotel

central situated. Quiet. Beds ok. Two chairs.

No cabinets for cloths, shoes etc. In case of fire - very dangerous. On leaving there was no one to receive the keys. Narrow staircases and no lift. No livingroom for guests. No place for buying drinks etc. Too cold, no heating.

Frankly amazed at other reviews

The room was quite nice and location fine

We had to phone to get in, phone to leave, never saw the manager. bags could not be left there on the last day as only one key. There was sheets left drying on the stairs for our whole stay. We have stayed in many hotels in amsterdam and this was our worst. Am frankly amazed at previous reviews.

Beautiful self catering attic room for a perfect time in Amsterdam

Enjoying all the comforts of home while experiencing the atmosphere of an Amsterdam home. A perfect position to enjoy Amsterdam away from the bussel of the city centre. Eating in as the apartment offers great cooking facilities or buying delights on offer from the cafes and bakeries nearby. We enjoyed watching the boats travel through the canals. Our host, Fokker, is delightful and helped us find our way to Ameland and back again. We also greatly appreciated our host carrying our heavy suitcases to the top floor - thank you very much that deserves great praise!

The narrow steep staircase - however, Fokker's kind gesture of having Easter eggs/chocolate on a table on the first landing was a welcome boost - thanks!

Queens Day Break

Dream Room:-Beautiful high ceiling room, bigger than it looks in the pictures, very clean and tidy. Had lovely ensuite facilities. Cooking & fridge facilities inside a cupboard, which was fab as it didnt take up too much room. Coffee and tea already in the room for our arrival. 10-15 mins walk to the SLAM FM street dance area. Really quite at night, which was fabulous. We are definetly booking up for next year.

6 months ago We booked the Honeymoon room and 2 weeks before got an email to say it be double booked, so had to have the smaller Dream rooms. The owner appologiesed but it would have been nice to get a discount as the room wasnt what we booked and was smaller than the origanal one. The apartments are 2.8 kilometers from central station, so wear good walking shoes

Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Room, very clean and spacious. Bathroom was enormous. TV appearing out of the bottom of the bed - awesome! would definitely book again.

Not enough space for hanging clothes if you were to stay longer than a weekend and nowhere to hang towels after you had a shower!

This is our place to stay in Amsterdam

This place is fantastic. It is in a great location and enabled us to kick off our visit to Amsterdam by visiting the Heineken Experience and Van Gogh museum, both just a short walk away. Fokko and Fabiano were friendly and helpful and were happy for us to check in before noon. The room was lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable, best night's sleep I'd had for a while! It felt like somewhere to come back to after exploring this beautiful city. Much more than a hotel room. Additionally, we used the kitchen facilities to sort ourselves out with a good breakfast and a packed lunch so we didn't have to eat out until the evening, I reckoned this saved about £150 euros over our three night stay. Next time we go to Amsterdam, we are going to book Amstel Corner straight away. We won't even think about looking elsewhere.

If I were Fokko I'd do more with the back garden!

Stylish, modern and well equiped apartment in a quite area of The Dam!

The apartment was very well equiped in a modern style. The bathroom in particular was excellent. The room was warm and comfortable and being on the 5th floor afforded some excellent views of the city. Fokko, the owner, was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Really the only negative aspect was the five flights of steep stairs we had to climb to reach the apartment. Not too much fun with heavy suitcases!

never again to stay in this place.

good location and clean

We stay in the dream room. Unfortunately it is very noisy as we can hear people live upstair walk, when they use toilet and shower especially at mid night. We can hear they flush the toillet and the water is running which is terrible.

Overall good apartment, near to city centre. V.Good **

Good sized room with plenty of space to relax. Nice & clean wetroom with good shower & bath facilities. Little balcony to relax on. Well located to city centre, good access to public transport. In walking distance of supermarket & plenty of good restaurants, cafes etc.

Our mattress was too soft for comfort.

Maybe not scenic but very comfortable

wonderful high ceiling, studio apartment with view of canal. close to transporation. quiet area. modern furniture, roomy, fridge/microwave/expresso maker available with a few plates, cups, cutlery to have breakfast.

bathroom is separated by a large sliding door that sticks and doesn't really close. Host is pleasant but not involved (no housekeeping in the 4 nights we were there). no telephone available and no place for breakfast in the vicinity.
